Just to fulfil my obsession...

dont think it will be possible to fit a buggy board to a zapp, due to theodd shape of the frame. a litaf seat to go may work,

We have a P&T E3 too and also a Maclaren Techno which is nearly dead . I am about to replace it though, so any ideas would be great!

I have a Maclaren Vogue - similar to the Techno but IIRC Techno was only from 3 months? Had a travel system initially, was great as a lie-flat pram for naps and shopping basket was huge but not very collapsible. LOVED the Vogue for about a year but it hasn't stood up well to constant use especially being folded and put in the nursery buggy shed every day. Buggies in there get tangled up so need something sturdy and Maclaren doesn't cope very well. Brakes have pretty much gone - you can put them on but getting them off again is a nightmare and suspect will 'go' soon. Raincover doesn't stand up to toddler tugging. Neither does the hood. Maclarens are great - lightweight, easy to collapse and store. But don't stand up to constant use and especially toddlers/nursery buggy sheds. Would get something else next time (if there is a next time).

Rather than a Volo for our recent holiday, I bought a maclaren Triumph on Kiddicare for under £50. It has the same "footprint " as a folded up Volo, but comes with raincover and hood, it's more padded and it reclines. Not as comfy as a Techno (or my P&T which I use for my long walks) but it's going to be my backup buggy, and it was great getting through the airport recently what with 4 children , 2 adults and all our other stuff.
Yes, my name is Stilltrue and I too am an addict.

I have a Jane Carrera C and a Maclaren Quest. They both fold up pretty small, and are light. We used the Jane with the Matrix when DS was a baby. He loves the pushchair part - always sleeps really well in it as it lies pretty much flat and is nicely padded.

Neither has a massive shopping basket, but I use clips on the handlebar of the Jane, which works well as it's a sturdy pushchair and won't tip unless you put a week's grocery shop on it

hi silvercross coach built prams are these back in fashion now would any 1 use 1 in town just worried about all the looks you would get

sweetkitty · 31/08/2005 18:16

I have a Graco Quattro deluxe travel system used about 10 times as it's huge and bulky.

Currently have a Maclaren Techno XT which is great, it's suitable form birth lies completely flat, the cosy toes is really snuggly and its great for whacking in the car boot or off and on buses.

Am going to purchase a P+T's e3 in a few months for number 2 (18 month gap).

Think I would also be an addict if DP would allow me to.

Carrera C looks lovely, think I'd like one of those or a Zippy if I had the funds.

BFPAP - yes, it is lovely. Nice to push too. And I love that it folds up small - the three-wheeler they do is enormous, even folded!

BLANKfloozypuddingandpie · 31/08/2005 20:16

Don't fancy selling it do you? lol!

LOL! Not till DS can do more than five steps...! And I have another one on the way...so if you can hang on a couple of years, maybe!

BLANKfloozypuddingandpie · 31/08/2005 20:18

Ah well, worth a try!! DS is 19 months, so won't need one by then. (unless some miracle occurs and I end up with a bump!!)

Crikey I've got a Silver X coachbuilt navy blue corduroy pram in the attic, its a more modern one about 12 yrs old but super and there is nothing like it for popping baba in the back garden on a summers day...
I adored my E3 but bought an Inglesina Espresso, which I now hate, want a lighterweight pram really so will follow up on a few ideas here...

BLANKfloozypuddingandpie · 31/08/2005 20:35

No, you can't beat a good old fashioned pram for a newborn.
