For the last 20 years my wife has been devoid of all pubic hair , however in the last 3 months she has grown her bush will interesting results , I have found this a huge turn on and has reenergised our love making , was wondering if anyone else has experienced similar?

It never went away in our house!

But I think it must get tedious shaving your pubes all the time. Maybe she fancies a change.

DanDan88 · 01/01/2026 09:11

I hope so!
I always prefer natural. Shaved does nothing for me. Many women only shave because they think men expect it and are relived when you say you don't like it.

+1 for a bush

Sachinda · 01/01/2026 09:22

+2 here

Tammygirl12 · 01/01/2026 09:29

Definitely! I felt I had to be free of hair early 20s. have had a bush for the last 6 years (since late 20s/ early 30s) it’s the best way. Husband doesn’t mind

Lillibridge · 01/01/2026 09:38

I think it's definitely gradually going out of fashion amongst younger people, as well as older.

Maccar305 · 01/01/2026 10:09

Personally (M) I like a neat “landing strip” to guide me in ….. 😉

LittlePurpleTeapot · 01/01/2026 12:02

Grew it back at DH suggestion a few years ago and never looked back.

I chop and change, but in person have only had positive comments about the presence of pubes. However, my late boyfriend and I were on Fab, with a variety of hairstyles in our pictures. We messaged one couple, and got a reply "me and Allan like it shaved down there" which made me laugh so much. And then every couple of months after that, Allan would message saying the missus was out, were we available? 😂

I prefer to be shaved but I haven't shaved much since becoming pregnant so will likely wait until I'm able to get to it without any awkwardness

taxguru · 01/01/2026 13:11

Never went out of fashion here. Hubbie prefers a bush and always has done.

mnmnddddd · 01/01/2026 16:45

I don't imagine it'll ever come back into fashion in my pants.

lucyandmike · 01/01/2026 17:20

Pretty much the same, I started trimming my bush then shaving it in my teens and haven't had any hair down there for nearly 20 years. I like it smooth so I don't think I could go back to having pubes.

StarlightLady · 01/01/2026 19:30

Hollywood wax every 4 weeks here.

l’ve been all off since l was about 15/16, first shave then Veet then regular wax, 40s now and it aint coming back, not on legs, underarms or elsewhere! I don’t care what anyone else wants.

NinaOakley · 01/01/2026 22:55

Mostly-have only shaved when partner fancied playing around with eating various things off me.

LiveToTell · 01/01/2026 23:13

I got to 43 (this year) before I shaved mine off. My DH always said he would hate it if I shaved it, so I did it one day when I was annoyed with him 😆

Guess what? He absolutely loves it…

MrsBrollie · 02/01/2026 05:58

I’ve been all off since meeting hubby, about 5 years ago I got IPL so it’s pretty much going to stay like that, the fashion won’t matter because hubby really doesn’t like pubes, I’m pretty indifferent either way, at least the IPL is very little Maintainance, I just need a top up once a year now.

Thinking about it, when did what we did with our pubic hair become important? I grew up in the 70s and 80s and I really don't remember anyone shaving down there at all. It seems to be a multi-million pound industry now.

It depends what you mean by "become important" but it's widely suggested that it dates back to at least Anchient Egyptian, Greek and Roman cultures, when it was practiced by both women and men.
So at least 2000 years.

SophieMumsy · 02/01/2026 07:32

I have never trimmed or shaved. Having a full bush makes me feel more natural and feminine.

It was a service offered in ancient Greek and Ancient Roman bath houses. I suspect inflation has taken its toll since then 😀.

Yes, I know it goes back to antiquity; it was also popular during the 17th and 18th Centuries amongst young women but things do go in and out of fashion. I meant in modern times.

mnmnddddd · 02/01/2026 08:59

Maybe a better question is when did depilation become politicised and part of an arsenal in The Battle Of The Sexes? When did anyone assume the right to judge others based on a personal choice that is shated with almost no one else?

GentlemanJay · 02/01/2026 09:00

Not for me. It’s a turn off.

Not for me. It’s a turn off.

As someone who has opted for all off since my later teens, it’s not done as a turn on, or turn off. It’s the way l choose. I find it more comfortable, particularly in the hot weather (less sweaty) and yes, l think it looks nicer. If someone finds that a turn off to the extent it’s a problem, they can do the other thing.
