I never thought I would be asking about this on MN, but I am at a stage of my life where I feel more comfortable talking about certain subjects. Sex is among them. I'm 63 and still having sex on a regular basis and enjoying it. I would say I am enjoying it more than at any point since I was in my 30s. I got divorced in my late 50 after being a sexless marriage with ex-DH. I have since dated a few men, some younger and some around my age. I am currently in a casual sexual relationship with a man in his late 30s. I would describe us as being friends with benefits. He is fabulous in bed and prioritizes my pleasure (and my orgasm) over his. We typically meet up twice a week for sex. It lasts for a long time, and if we sleep together overnight there will often be a second round the next morning. I am on a combination of HRT and testosterone gel which helps to keep my libido high. I also still masturbate regularly, though I prefer sex.
I have an adult DD who I think would be shocked to know I am still having sex. I also get comments from people close to me saying I look like I have a glow. I don't do anything special to look that way. I just exercise, try to eat healthy and have sex as often as I can. I do find that I feel great for several hours after having sex or having an orgasm, and I suspect that contributes to the "glow" which people have commented about. Are any other women still enjoying sex later in life, especially after 60? I have been wondering if I'm the oldest Mumsnetter who is still having sex. I hope I'm not but if I am, so be it.
