I would imagine that lots of people used anal sex as a contraceptive in the days before the pill etc.

I have had anal sex since age 19 for most of my adult life and never had a problem with it. Now in my fifties. Lube is always helpful on and around the anus plus over the man's penis (ie over the condom). It is important it is safe sex so the man does not pick up an infection from any faeces (it is possible).

I love anal, but as an occasional pleasure not a regular one. Those who haven't tried it shouldn't knock it. Also I really don't get this homosexual thing, a lot of gay men love BJs, does that mean BJs are homosexual?
Anal is very intimate and does require a lot of trust between partners.
