Lovingmy40s · 06/03/2019 16:05

So I told my DP I want us to buy a vibrator, he did mention it previously but only during sex, and we didnt really look into it, now we are both excited to get one or maybe 2 Grin
Any recommendations on what to buy? so many things out there....Lovehoney is very good, but I dont want to end up buying something we won't both enjoy and then put ourselves off!
Recommendations would be appreciated

Yeah move to sex topic, where this question has been asked multiple times.

RabbitseatDogs · 06/03/2019 23:13

Try John Lewis or maybe Ikea - they do skateboards now so it's not too far of a leap to vibratory. Or Currys?

LilyMumsnet · 07/03/2019 09:01

Hi all

We're going to move this over to the sex topic now - the OP has been around for a while, so seems like the appropriate place for this to be!

Lovingmy40s · 07/03/2019 12:56

Thank you! Honestly I didnt realise there is a sex topic!

‘Sounds to me that you have asked a question and would like an answer not a lecture. Every woman should have at least one; I’ve got 3 in my bedside drawer and one in the bathroom.

If possible and you are in a city, I would suggest going into a shop where you can actually look at them. Better still if they have some you can switch on. Some vibeys are extremely noisy, almost akin to having a cement mixer in the bedroom; hardly helpful on the road to orgasm.

Avoid novelty penis shaped ones. It’s the clitoral stimulation that is the bee’s knees.

Small can be more manoeuvrable, Durex do a waterproof bullet, also handy for the bath. Good for beginners.

Remember too, nobody will be able to “drive” it better than you.

No absolutely not if it's Anne Summers. They treat their staff like shit and all their stuff is overpriced.

Use LoveHoney, they have a "Love it or your money back" guarantee and yes that means used.

Which once led to me standing at a post office counter with a return postage envelope and the counter staff asking me "What's the item?" and me going
"errrrr"
"uhm"
"ITS A VIBRATOR"

Old lady nearly fainted.

DumbleDork · 07/03/2019 22:06

Lovehoney is a good place to start. I believe you can even return items you’ve tried. They just throw them out when they get them back so there is no worry you are buying a used one.

Personally as a starter toy, I’d recommend a bullet. There is a Tracey cox one on there that recharges with a usb point Smile

MarieG10 · 08/03/2019 05:59

Be careful which you chose. If you find reaching orgasm easy, then the Rabbit type which directly stimulate the clitoris will mean it is over very quickly (might be the intention of couse😉). i tried one a few years ago and I lasted less than a minute!

I found a nice size one which wasn't massive with a soft rubber texture was nice ....at least that's what DH bought for us and was nice. Can use externally and internally so a nice mix when he is using it. I would imagine as a previous poster said that Tracey Cox would be woman friendly!

Lovingmy40s · 08/03/2019 08:09

MarieG10 I do actually orgasm quickly! I didnt think of this point!
Which one did your H get you? sounds like what I would go for...internal and external Grin

A bullet is a really good one to start with. It's small and can be used anywhere on each other.

😊

Got the Tracey Cox, great starter I think! it was great fun!
