What is your schools policy on prevention of forced arranged marriage of students?

What is your school's policy on the protection of teenage girls (and boys) from forced arranged marriage, spotting danger signs and stopping these from occuring abroad or in the uk.... bearing in mind we are talking 1000s of victms a year forced by parents into what is effectively sex slave trafficing little different to that done by east european groups forcing teenage girls into prositition away from thir country.

Where threats of violence, honour killing, ostracistion, taking victems abroad under the guise of holidays then taking their passport in remote areaa ar common place.

And what is the policy of aiding rescue of any student beleived to have been 'disappeared' in one of these situation?

Bearing in mind culture, tradition, relgion cannot ever be respected if it is supporting rape and abuse...

This can be done to girls as young as 12 in particular regarding pakistan, Bangladesh, Afganistan

This is not being racist either as you are not born with any culture, relgion or tradtion its something you choose just like choosing to be a hippy, goth, football fan, or surfer as opposed to a member of the KKK national front, football thug, gang member etc.

Likewise a policy on supporting a students right to date and form relationships regardless of their brother or parents wishes.

Also any policy on what to do if a tacher suspects a girl may be indanger of female circumcsion/female genital mutilation?

Look it up FGM

I think he likes to get a big crowd of ladies round him before he shows everyone his erect penis.

Leaving now before he gets overexcited again.

You sound like a ranting nutter to me.

oh really?

Who is the true nutter?

People like you who are pro acts like this

news footage

fast forward to 11.50 you will need real player

or people like me trying to stop it.

Simple question mate

which side are you on... see the news reports and then reply only when you have seen them all th way through

Then you might have some idea what you are on about

You still sound like a ranting nutter to me but I want to add something because it is ranting like this that has caused problems in a whole other area to what you might expect.

This issue is nothing to do with schools and should be treated separately from schools because the attempts that the government are making to uncover these issues are having wide reaching and damaging repercussions for other children.

As you, an expert, will know Graham Badman was asked to write a report on Elective Home Education, one of the reasons given why this report was commissioned was cited as being preventing forced marriage.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't in any way support rape/forced marriage/abuse or anything like this. But the goverment has accepted, lock stock and barrel Badman's suggestions on monitoring Home Education in a (probably useless) attempt to stop child abuse.

This report gives a right of access to the family home, the right to interview children without their educators (ie their parents) being present, and asks for documentary evidence of the child's education. Of course the latter might seem like a great idea until you learn of the many children who are taught using the (very successful)autonomous style of education. This, for some children is the only way to stop them being suicidal and for others is much less stressful than a school type education.

The evidence required in the Badman report would simply destroy this gentle, effective and widely recognised outside the UK form of education. These reccomendations apply to all children who are home ed, no matter what their race or background. Many children will suffer as a result.

It is the religion which is a problem and by placing teachers in the role of societies protection officers a whole heap of other people will suffer. To me, the damage to my children's education will be totally unnecessary, unacceptable and wrong, I am a white, british, normal non religious Mum, but I have been caught in the cross fire of this. If you are going to try to change the forced marriage thing, please make the essential separation between schools / education and religion.

I understand your concerns about the girls in forced marriages. I am suspcious as to what you think you will achieve by posting on the Mumsnet wesbite?

JoeyF · 31/08/2009 22:54

interviews from child victems of forced arranged marriages where often the only way out is attemtped suicide usually by burning or the girls try and disfigure themselves so no longer wanted sexually

Maybe cat, stretch and foxy should be investigated for their support of such abuse of children

news report on forced child brides

fast forward to 40 seconds

This is the kind of child abuse the likes of cat, stretch and foxy support dode to 11,12,15 year olds and they then try and hide this by saying anyone who wants to stop this is a racist member of the BNP or combat 18.

Clearly stupid as what would a Combat 18 or BNP member care about foreigners being killing or abused... they support abuse on non whites much like posters

cat, stretch and foxy

Sorry can't be bothered to read double-spaced poorly punctuated posts but to reassure any mnetters wondering if their children's schools have a policy on forced marriage:

I am a school governor (state primary school) and when the latest guidance on forced marriages came out it was distributed through the LEA and brought to the attention of the governors by the latest LEA report and the clerk to the governing body, we reviewed the recommendations and voted to incorporate them into the school's child protection policy.

onefunkymama · 31/08/2009 22:55

BTW who on earth are you to suppose that you know what I think?

ruddynorah · 31/08/2009 22:56
Mamazon · 31/08/2009 22:56

what does it matter to you what my dc's school policy on this is?

and how exactly do you expect any school to have a policy? what do you want their policvy to be?

you really are just a twatbag and you know full well your not going to get the support for your barking mad rantings on here so why do you continue to post?

StretchFucksTheMailDaily · 31/08/2009 22:57

Hahahaha, fuck off twat.

'Agree with my rambling insane posts, or you too, could be a child abuser'

foxytocin · 31/08/2009 22:59

so did you leave the anti nazi league or did they throw you out.

Easy

School are told to look for signs of abuse in kids and to report it.

Whats the difference?

This is what gets me with loon tune notions that anyone trying to stop rape, killing and abuse is a racist or nutter.

Race, culture and religion and tradtion shuold be irrelavant...

Rape is rape

Slavoury is slavoury

Rape slavoury is rape slavoury

Its still hurts and trumatises no matter what race, religion, culture, tradtion you are

It still ruins lives

And the real nut jobs here are the ones trying to make out that anyone highlighint or condemning this is a racist.

tell you whats very similar to your arguments and the likes of Foxy.

Its the term 'Diplomatic immunity'

Using these words you can littlerly rape a 2 year old in the high street infront of everyone in broad daylight

Saying diplomatic imunity you cant touch me.

Now it seems you dont need diplomatic immunity you just shout that anyone trying to stop you is racist or a nutter and you can do what you like to anyone you like as long as you say its part of your

pick one

culture, relgion, tradtion or race

And then if the police try and save the 2 year old idiots like the posters having a go at me would have the 2 year olds rescuers labeled nutty racists and say go on mr rapists continue your

cultural/relgious/tradtional activity we wont let anyone stop you.

As thats whats happening here.

Sorry you feel that way. You seem to lack a balanced proportional point of view. You are not alone in thinking forced marriage is wrong. However, you will not gain anyone's support insulting them, making presumtious statements about them or being insulting. You need to see the wider picture.

BTW- why are you also suggesting teaching primary school children about the Inquisition on another thread? I would have thought it inappropriate and frightening for a young child. Maybe you have an obsession with the wrong things.

Actually just continued campaiging in different ways partly as going on demos dont help as protestors just get labled rent a mob

Also note.

Rational posts give proper answers...

irational nutjob or simply too thick to give a proper reply posters are the ones labling my posts insane...

but note how they dont actually state why the thinking is insane or nutty or stupid.

Whilst I back myself up and post links and reasoning

JoeyF - why are you posting this on MN?

Why can't you spell?

Why don't you bugger off?

Oh, and your previous post, accusing a MNer of being "likely you are personally involved in such crimes" is totally out of order.

Seriously, get lost.

JoeyF · 31/08/2009 23:11

incidenty you seen the videos above yet?

OP posts:
foxytocin · 31/08/2009 23:15

i'm sorry. i stop. joey is not balanced.

Mamazon · 31/08/2009 23:17

well i have asked you perfectly reasonable question which you have yet to answer.

What sort of policy is it that you want schools to have on this?

Arranged marriage is a cultural and in parts, religious thing.
school has no legal right to forbid it, nor in fact does the government in any capacity.
the most that can happen is that the British legal system does not aknowledge the legality of the marriage until the girl turns 16/18.

The very most that you could hope for is that IF a girl goes tro her teacher and claims she is bneing forced into a marriage that social services are called in - which i can assure you they would be.

so really, what more is it you would like the school to do?

onefunkymama · 31/08/2009 23:18

What balanced, persuasive arguement is this guy going to put forward next?

How about accusing the whole world of child abuse? Really, I wouldn't want this guy to be responsible for my kids for one nano second

He's also suggesting teaching primary children about the Inquisition...
