Support thread for parents trying to get their kids to do 11+ work this holiday!

Am already dreading the holidays as dd needs to do some 11+ practice and it's so hard to get her to do anything! Anyone else in the same boat?

That is so close and CONGRATS re Dover pass.Do you think you have a good chance re appeal?Sounds like it from what you have said about the others.
If ds1 gets into 1st choice school it is 22 miles away...certainly not the easy option but,of course,we all prefer that one
Really hope if you appeal you get it...It is a rollercoaster....ONE POINT!Your dd has done very well and I hope if you appeal it is successful[I am sure it will be]

well we had a meeting with the head today, we saw her appeal and the panels response and will be going thru the actual parental appeal process - its a different panel and she should sail through.
The English paper she did on the day wasnt up to scratch - can't say fairer than that to be honest - its a bummer but ho hum
We shall see what happens!

Hello anyone who remembers the 11+ hell - "D" day is Thursday, we have to put our case to a panel.
We are very lucky in as that there are 70 girls appealing for 62 places so we have good odds.
Not couting any chickens though - we find out by the end of the month

Are you still appealing from Oct 09? Is this re entry this Sep? Gosh, what a long drawn out process and must be stressing you all out so much. Hope it all comes right in the end.
