2026 Wandsworth test result is out

Just received the email and still processing it. My son’s score is quite high, but it seems it’s not enough for Graveney. Could you please clarify whether Chestnut Grove still offers places primarily based on catchment area? Would a high score be considered at all if we live outside the catchment?

We live near Ashcroft, though we’re unsure about it as the school is known for being quite strict. We’re fairly new to London, so I’m still doing a lot of research to understand the options available.

The schools we are looking at are not faith schools. Though there are faith schools in the borough’s.

@Nushi21 where can you live & target all those boroughs? Im curious as my cousin is looking to move that way for schools but is unsure where the best place is to target as many options as possible. I know parts of Teddington can target a no of options but when she looked at Kingston Academy, the catchment was tiny.

We live in wandsworth. The plan was to move by December as that is was cut off to change your address with the Local Authority. I don’t think that will be happening so we will think about moving in the new year.
We literally used up our school choices by putIng our first two choices which are in Kingston and Richmond, then some schools close to us as “back up” then the last few again around Teddington way.
We probably won’t get them due to distance but we were told to give it a go if we were thinking if moving and then we stay on the waiting list of/when we move.
