With Oxbridge taking less and less private school students, is it still worth it??

stats shows that the number of private educated students Oxbridge enrolled has dropped 1/3 in the past 5 years. Any thoughts?

There are schools like Eton and Westminster who have the funds and willingness to help poorer deprived children and the unis should work with them to help some of these children. Harris Westminster has been a huge success and I think Eton is opening some schools in the North East. With Zoom and technology, extension can in theory be provided to poorer children. There has to be a will in the state sector to identify poor gifted pupils though quite early on. I would really like for there to be some online schooling available for the poorest and brightest, especially those who do not have pushy parents (as they can do it themselves). Most primary school teachers do know who these kids are.
