Hi, Does anyone know the format of the CLSB exam? Roughly when you drop off/pick up etc? Two weeks to go and there's still no info. I'm wondering if I can fit it around work/work remotely somewhere nearby etc. We're doing 10+ but I imagine it's similar to the 11+.

That’s good to know! Hopefully it will work in our favour. Just looking forward to having it over and done with now!

Just had a chat with a fellow mum of a 10+ applicant. She heard from another friend that the CLS junior school is oversubscribed at the moment with space issues and even difficulty running open days. This is where the boys will spend the first year (y6) before moving up to the senior school.
She also mentioned that there are fewer applicants at 7+ due to this problem.
Is anyone aware of this?

I did wonder how the junior school would manage taking on 2 classes if yr 6 boys given they’ll have an existing co-ed cohort. Do they limit the No of boys that can join prior to that point or do they end up with boys massively over-represented in the final year of primary? It would be good if City of London Girls took the same approach as boys so that they could continue with a 50:50 class makeup on year 6 but if they’re already struggling for space that doesn’t sound like an option. I have to say I was disappointed when I heard yr 6 will be starting at the junior school rather than in one go at the senior school site

Agreed. I don't know how they are tackling this to be honest. It's the first time I've heard about this issue.

How have the interviews gone for everyone so far?

MissScotland · 13/01/2023 11:41

DS said it was good but I think he was very stressed out and didn't do very well... It was very short, just over 10 minutes. Not sure what it means.
Now it's a waiting game...

It seemed to go ok, he was smiling afterwards, hopefully a good sign!

My DS has been offered a reserve place for CLS 10+. Does anyone know what the chances of placement?
