Sorry @daffodilandtulip I probably sounded a bit sharp when I said that. Yes, I can well understand the high-achievers/very invested students doing that. DD did start (she's neither of those things) but I stopped her in her tracks as I think is just causes more anxiety potentially.
DD is already at school! She has a journey that could take 15 minutes on public transport or an hour depending on traffic and weather conditions, so has rightly chosen to go in early to avoid 'am I going to get there on time?' stress. Who needs that? And of course it gives her some quality revision time with one of her besties who is more exam savvy than she is (so hoping for some 12th hour inspiration).
Loving the picture of the puss tucked up for the night! Lots of cat therapy in our house with our 'girls' too.
DD had a bit of a meltdown with her biology revision yesterday evening. Thankfully she emerged the other side (after about an hour of ranting) and did a couple more hours in a calm and collected manner. Not looking forward to having to go through that for chemistry and physics too.
Sure we had more than one paper in some subjects (maybe not English language?). I recall a chemistry paper that was 50 multiple choice questions and pretty sure that wasn't the only one. It really would have been 'eggs all in one basket' otherwise, and prejudicial to girls (although that likely wouldn't have even been considered in years gone by) who may have been feeling less than 100% if on their period?
DD was fast asleep by 9.30pm here. I can see bedtime getting earlier and earlier as exam season goes on. She used to be an owl but has been much calmer since she's been getting her required number of hours sleep in (for the past year or so). But it does mean that her evenings are relatively short in terms of how much revision she can fit in, and she's more of an evening worker than a morning one for sure.
Good luck to everyone with biology 1 today.
