We’ve made it into year 12 and rapidly approaching the end of the first half term .

Lots of challenges we could never imagined as we started the year but we’re all keeping on keeping on and this thread is for anyone who would like to jump on board to share the rather unusual journey this is turning out to be.

I don't think so, I am afraid. Schools subscribe.

pasanda · 10/11/2020 09:03

DD just told me she took 30 tablets and drank the bottle of wine last night. Slashed her arm to bits too. I'm taking her to the hospital now but I know she won't engage and is totally needle phobic.

A levels can do one right now

Sad
ealingwestmum · 10/11/2020 09:15

Oh my god Pasanda! Don’t know what to say other than I really hope she gets the treatment needed right now, and for you also to take care, her welfare affects you all x

FoolsAssassin · 10/11/2020 09:18

Pasandra I am so so sorry. You're absolutely right about the A levels. One step at the time, hospital first Flowers

Am so sorry to hear that @pasanda

JustHereWithMyPopcorn · 10/11/2020 09:42

Oh Passanda I’m so, so sorry to hear that, I hope that she is OK and gets the help and support she needs and that you have RL support too. The stress these kids have been under is horrendous and government and schools need to understand the impact on our young people. Take care. Flowers

ChristopherTracy · 10/11/2020 10:24

So sorry @pasanda Flowers Brew

crazycrofter · 10/11/2020 10:26

@pasanda I’m so sorry to hear that. You’re absolutely right about A Levels. They don’t matter at all right now.

I hope she can get the help she needs (you too as you’ll need some support)

pasanda · 10/11/2020 10:49

Thanks. We're at a&e now Done bloods and ecg just waiting now.

I feel so sick.

Zandathepanda · 10/11/2020 11:30

pasanda ask for a pen and paper (or use your phone) to write stuff the doctors are saying down like blood results etc, names of doctors. It will be a blur now so you won’t remember stuff later on xx

Seeline · 10/11/2020 11:32

@pasanda so sorry Flowers

These poor kids have had to go through so much. Hope your DD can get some help (and you).

AndwhenyougetthereFoffsomemore · 10/11/2020 12:24

@pasanda: just wanted to send much love, and really hope that your dd gets the help she needs, and that you are being able to hold it together for now at least. The toll on of this pandemic on MH for this younger generation, as well as so many others, really is heartbreaking.

Monkey2001 · 10/11/2020 12:28

Thinking of you @pasanda, really hope for good news of progress from you soon. Flowers

KingscoteStaff · 10/11/2020 12:30

AnneOfCleavage · 10/11/2020 13:38

So sorry pasanda. Hope she gets the help she needs and yes, A levels can do one. One step at a time. Be kind to yourself. Sending a virtual hug Thanks.

How are things @pasanda? Sending unmumsnetty hugs and Flowers

pasanda · 10/11/2020 15:24

Thank you so much for all your good wishes everyone. We are back home. Luckily the bloods were all normal and her heart rate settled from 130 beats a minute to normal. She had a 20 minute chat with Cambs crisis team who have since phoned me up and told me they won't be following it up as she is not deemed at risk and has previously not engaged with them aged 14.

DD is a troubled person who won't engage with help. She finds it awkward and cannot express her emotions. So nobody gets to know the truth about her so nobody can help.

I am wondering if she has undiagnosed 'something'. She fits a lot of adhd traits but I don't know enough about it to know if this might even be a thing.

She drank the wine then felt sad so took the pills and cut herself. She can't tell me what she was sad about. Sad

Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread too much, I guess I posted it on here because you are all such a supportive bunch so thank you

Thanks
Zandathepanda · 10/11/2020 15:48

pasanda Flowers You are doing all you can by keeping trying to talk with her. Hope you have someone you can talk to in real life too. Xx
