Ds1s 1st exam is tomorrow and is in the afternoon

SolitudeAtAltitude · 13/05/2019 07:04

Computing exam in the morning here

Greeborising · 13/05/2019 07:08

Yep Computer Science this morning followed immediately by Latin 😬

PopcornPopper · 13/05/2019 07:13

We got a text message from the school telling us what exams were on today and to check your child's exam timetable (they have sent it twice in case one went missing in the post.)

Today is computer science this morning and EPR this afternoon.

If you know which board it is you can look at their website. Does your child have a print out from school of all their exams?

Good luck to everyone, parents included Grin

avenueq · 13/05/2019 07:16

What's EPR?

pointythings · 13/05/2019 07:17

DD2 kicks off tomorrow, then it really hits next week. School is applying for consideration for bereavement for her and DD 1 who is doing A levels. I am in Holland for mum's funeral today and going back tonight. House clearing will have to wait until after exams.

MaudBaileysGreenTurban · 13/05/2019 07:27

Good luck all who start today. Ds has biology tomorrow afternoon - the best of his sciences but still not looking forward to it at all!

Greeborising · 13/05/2019 07:40

We have an individual exam timetable available on the school website Popcorn both dd and I have been checking it constantly!
pointy sorry you’ve lost your mum, hope today goes smoothly x

Iambuffy · 13/05/2019 08:20

Sending love pointy 💐

RS this afternoon but not first exam DS had a 9am exam every day last week. He’s not revised RS, it’s compulsory here and he said I never chose it and not interested in passing which is very frustrating but I’d rather he put his revision time into Biology tomorrow as he’s hoping to take A Level in it.

myrtleWilson · 13/05/2019 08:41

Good luck everyone!

RE here this afternoon and I'm away with work so feel very guilty for not being there this morning. Sad

Anyone else looking at the clock and sending positive vibes to their dd or DS?!

SilentSister · 13/05/2019 09:18

Good luck to all DC's starting their exams today.

Thanks for all advice re: illness etc. I think/hope we are going to be OK. She seems better today, so definitely doing the Biology tomorrow, just maybe need a room to keep her away from others.

Pointythings Sending love and hugs today.

Soursprout Oh no...... hope it doesn't develop further.

MaddieElla · 13/05/2019 11:13

Yes I’m clock watching and resisting texting to ask how computer science went this morning.

She has RS this afternoon.

She practically skipped in to school like it was Christmas morning. I hope things go as she wants them to and there’s no meltdowns coming. Envy

Greeborising · 13/05/2019 11:39

My dd had Latin straight after computer science.
I’m hoping the adrenaline will see her through!

catontherun · 13/05/2019 11:42

Revision continued quite well this weekend I believe with dc asking me to fund the purchase of yet more science practice materials but this time from "Primrose Kitten" website. Anyone else used them ?

Got to love the internet for instant purchase and e-mail link/download, all done in under 10 minutes.

Best of luck and strong nerves to all dc starting today (and their parents obv.). We kick off tomorrow with Biology. Dc's school made them all sit RE last year so that's already out of the way and was good practice for exam conditions etc.

Powergower · 13/05/2019 11:44

Pointy thinking of you today!

Good luck to all the dc and their parents. Ds has RS this afternoon and did sombre revision yesterday. He had a bad tummy this morning and was in the loo at 6am. He's also asked us not to ask him how the exam went afterwards as he has biology tomorrow and just wants to forget the rs exam and

Powergower · 13/05/2019 11:44

And move on through the week.

marmiteloversunite · 13/05/2019 13:02

Anyone else feeling relieved that we have actually started?

Computer science this morning was ok. Some hard bits but thinks she has done enough to pass. Happy with no tears at this point!

Five more exams this week so she had a short break and is back in with revision now.

It's going to be a very long week!

Good luck to all!!

Lifeandbeans · 13/05/2019 13:07

Out of curiosity has anyone else not had ANY info from school about exams?

I don't know what I'm expecting tbh but last year letters definitely came home and the website had exam timetables, info on study leave, revision clubs etc .
This year if SEN DD hadn't actually broke the habit of a lifetime and brought me the exam timetable printed home I would know nothing.

Bit surprised tbh

Greeborising · 13/05/2019 13:14

marmite yes it’s good to be underway! My dd just got home from computer science and said the paper was supposed to be about systems and there was a rogue algorithm question 😳
Seems calm though.

lifeandbeans that’s a bit poor. Our timetable is on the school website. I’d be lost without it tbh

cptartapp · 13/05/2019 13:18

RE just kicking off about now. Exam number one of twenty. I feel nervous. It's very very warm here, hoping it's not too uncomfortable in the exam room.

moobaadoublequackdoublequack · 13/05/2019 13:37

yes so relieved it's started.

DS had computer science too, and thinks it went alright!

biology tommow

good luck to everyone's DC.
