Here we are everyone.

Oh no HSM! What a waste of their time and energyAngry

Good that she enjoyed the photoshoot though.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 15/04/2016 15:02

Oh no HSM - DS has just chosen Drama for one of his GCSE options - all sounds a bit of a night mare! Still I guess we need something to take on the role Art has played in DD's studies!
Photoshoot sounds lovely - great to capture some of those dancing shots. DD has a ballet exam coming up this weekend - Always a joy to see them dancing Thanks

HSMMaCM · 15/04/2016 19:22

Juggling - as far as I can tell, Drama is nowhere near as bad as art, as long as you can get group rehearsals organised.

How is everyone? I'm a bit cross as one of DS' teachers that he has for two subjects is going off for an operation and won't be back until June....but it's OK, he's set them some work to do?!

HSM - your poor DD, I think I'd find it hard to be civil to that girl.

Horsemad · 15/04/2016 22:01

Oh no Ono, that's not great timing Sad.

Everything going OK here; DS revising well, he had a UCAS event at our local Uni this week and came back with lots of prospectuses, so hopefully get some open days arranged soon.

GetAHaircutCarl · 16/04/2016 08:11

ono have they finished the course? That's the main thing.

Everything ok here. DC went on four day DofE expedition so DH and I went away for a few days. Lovely weather so long walks on the beach etc.

DD has asked to be woken at 8.10am this morning Confused. Random but there you go. So I will shout her nowGrin.

bigTillyMint · 16/04/2016 09:08

No, not great timing for mini-ono and his classmates.

DD has a compulsory trip to a uni fair on Monday and isn't keen - says it's taking up her "free" afternoon which she would use to revise. DH has said it's not worth going, but I think she needs to start to engage with what's on offer. She has still not booked any open daysConfused

LittlehamHums · 16/04/2016 13:11

That is bad luck ono. Shock

dd3 got through her interview. Not expecting too much but she at least she did it!

ono40 · 16/04/2016 14:56

Littleham what was your DD's interview for?

BTM - lol at the idea of mini-Ono, he is 6ft tall Grin

Finally back to school for DS2 on Tuesday, the Easter hols have really felt interminable (I've had one off continuously since Maundy Thursday, not great when you work from home).

DS is doing some revision today but has DofE training all day tomorrow which he isn't best pleased about having finally found the revision mojo! And he has yet another sore throat Confused

teta · 16/04/2016 15:14

Holidays have also seemed interminable here. All 4 are back to school on Monday.Last minute homework being done with dd2 holding a homework club in her room with 3 of her ' closest' friends. There seems to be a lot of giggling and jumping arround.

HSMMaCM · 16/04/2016 17:21

Teta- the giggling and jumping around homework. I think DD is studying that course too Grin

OP posts:
JugglingFromHereToThere · 16/04/2016 19:17

Giggling and jumping around course - yes DD and DS are doing that one together I think Grin It's quite sweet when it's not incredibly frustrating, and they really should be doing something else. Don't they sometimes seem still so very young as teens?
Just picked up DD from her ballet exam and she was all bouncy and dancey as she often is when I pick her up from ballet. Brilliant! And she said it went pretty well so that's encouraging for her amidst all the slightly more stressy revising for AS stuff.

GetAHaircutCarl · 17/04/2016 18:27

My two are back to school tomorrow.

I feel a bit sorry for them. Although they've been revising during their break, they've done plenty of relaxing and socialising too. It's the hard road now.

I'm off away with work on Tuesday. DH is taking time off/working from home to make sure someone's around so I don't feel bad about it. The production company haven't yet decided which office we're all heading to. I wihs they would so I know what to bloody pack!

LittlehamHums · 18/04/2016 09:27

The interview was for a leadership / confidence / outward bound type of course but I don't think she will get it because they asked her if she would be happy to go on a reserve list. Good interview experience though.

bigTillyMint · 18/04/2016 16:57

Well DD ended up going on the uni fair trip and has come home with a bag full of prospectuses which I have been enthusiastically leading through Now to get her to sign up for a couple of open days!

bigTillyMint · 18/04/2016 17:00

Oh, and she passed her coaching exam yesterday - hooray!
Fingers crossed for your DDs ballet exam juggling.

Definitely good experience Littleham. And you never know re the reserve list.

HSMMaCM · 18/04/2016 17:45

Btm good news about the coaching exam. DD has a pile of prospectuses under her bed. I'm not expecting them to move, unless I read them.

Latest drama calamity - the teacher has gone into hospital and is not expected back before September !!!!

OP posts:
bigTillyMint · 18/04/2016 17:49

Oh no HSMShock

DS(Y10) said his maths teacher who he really liked was leaving at Easter - must check what the story is now.

Horsemad · 19/04/2016 20:36

DS has had his exam timetable - he has 3 on one day! Shock
His first exam is 17 May and last is 17 June.

Fairenuff · 19/04/2016 20:40

3 in one day? Shock

Dd has two on one day and one the next day but three in one... sheesh!

bigTillyMint · 19/04/2016 21:01

HorseShock
DD has 2 on 2 Mondays, I think. She starts (like DS with his 2 GCSEs) on 16th May and finishes the day before half-term - phew!

Horsemad · 19/04/2016 21:19

Yep, 2 Maths and a History one in the afternoon; all 1.5 hrs each, poor lad. Sad

HSMMaCM · 19/04/2016 21:38

DD's are reasonably spaced out.

1 x Mon 16th
2 x Mon 23rd
1 x Mon 6th

With dance and drama stuff going on around it all.

OP posts:
Horsemad · 19/04/2016 21:42

DS has 10 in total, with 5 in the first week.

bigTillyMint · 19/04/2016 21:57

2 Maths on one day, HorseShock

DD has 8 - 4 each week, 2 for each subject I think.

She has just made me test her on some History - I think panic is beginning to set in.
