FP2 went ok today, topic he found hardest didn't come up - phew.

Only another ten to go.

kitkat1968 · 08/06/2016 15:42

FP2??? OMG I hope not. DS thinks he has no exams til next week!

Dunlurking · 08/06/2016 15:55

Anyone else's dc do M1 today? Ds reasonably happy except for a qu 3?, which had particles bouncing off a wall and friction to be allowed for Confused

EllenJanethickerknickers · 08/06/2016 17:09

No FP2 yet here! Must be a different board. DS1 is doing MEI maths and FM and next exam is S2 next week, (after STEP.)

I'm sure DS1 will cope with a bit of disturbance as people finish exams.

Warwick accommodation applications have opened. Though no big hurry as they don't do first come first served until after 1st August. DS1 is now searching for his 7 digit student ID number.

BethanKate · 08/06/2016 21:16

Yes DS just said he got email from Warwick. Not sure if he's decided on preferences yet.

He's doing Edexcel Maths & FM but AQA for Phys & Chem.

Those round here who did Edexcel M1 today thought it was really hard.

EllenJanethickerknickers · 08/06/2016 21:53

DS's physics is AQA. He looked at accommodation a while ago and is just putting them down in price order, single room, cheapest first. Smile

hellsbells99 · 08/06/2016 22:36

DD did M1 today. She text me afterwards to say it was fine. I've not seen her as I am away working. She has a physics resit tomorrow which should be ok.

Leeds2 · 09/06/2016 19:12

Any else's DC have geography this afternoon? Unit 3 (not sure what that is!). DC on this thread seem mainly to do maths and physics!!

That's because we have no RL friends. Wink

Stillunexpected · 09/06/2016 20:11

Another one whose son did AQA Geography today. Apparently it was "sick" - all the questions he wanted were on there so fingers crossed that his confidence is not misplaced.

LIZS · 10/06/2016 08:13

Today is the half way point. Last History exam then 3 more next week.

hellsbells99 · 10/06/2016 09:33

8 more to go for DD - next one is not until Tuesday, so a bit of a break.

UhtredRagnorsson · 10/06/2016 09:47

DD1's first exam right now. History. Lot of nerves this morning. She deserves to do well but it doesn't always work out like that...

Leeds2 · 10/06/2016 10:17

Good Luck to her, Uhtred. I think they all feel at least a bit better with one out of the way.

Dunlurking · 10/06/2016 15:48

Ds texted to say he was happy with his History. Fingers crossed for your dd1 Uhtred

Dunlurking · 10/06/2016 15:53

Oh and ds planning to do Warwick accommodation application this weekend I think as no pressure for revision atm with the next exam 9 days away. Think he is going for ensuite or shared bathroom between 2, and spending money saved from his weekend/holiday job. Have just bought him a nutribullet smoothie maker as part of his 18th birthday present. Is that a bit sad? He does love his smoothies though. It's maybe a bit too "useful" Blush

UhtredRagnorsson · 10/06/2016 16:06

Dunlurking she thought it was 'good'. :)

LIZS · 10/06/2016 16:53

Ds thought History was ok and his teacher seemed to think he went along the right lines. Last ever History exam!

AtiaoftheJulii · 10/06/2016 17:45

Dd had History today too, Edexcel. She seems happy, it sounded fairly straightforward. She was ok this morning but there were tears at school yesterday Sad And yes, no more history!

Next one Tuesday ...

raspberryrippleicecream · 10/06/2016 18:26

DS1 was happy with Geology.Pleased it's out of the way and he can give Maths and Physics his full attention now. No Exam now until next Friday.

Needmoresleep · 10/06/2016 18:54

Glad to hear everyone seems happy so far. DD has three next week and five the week after - four different subjects, and some panic is beginning to set in. The good news is that she has been accepted for a 7 month ski season gap year job. The interview went badly, not least because they did not eat the canapes she had so carefully made, so she was sure she had not got it. Its great she got it, and even better that she did not face rejection just before her main run of exams. And I think she will enjoy a year out from academics.

I'm very envious of your DD Needmoresleep, doing a ski season.....what a dream!
