dramaqueenofHighthCs I'm sorry but this just made me think of the Airplane film when he keeps popping his head into cockpit 'good luck , we are all counting on you'.

Brilliant

Ashbeeee · 12/05/2015 07:10

Thought this might help to de-stress the kids (and adults) who are aware of who he is.....be warned it's addictive.

Ahh ashbee I feel so much better now 205 slaps in 2 mins Grin.

Just dragged DS out of bed, no exam this morning but school as normal. He gets his official drama feedback today, teacher told him on qt on Friday he got top of level 1 highest grade in the class, they also get to see the video of the performance. He also wants to check details of who the examiner was as he told DS he wants to use his monologue as his information to schools about the standard he expects. Then this afternoon it's Edexcel biology but as it's only core he's not even a bit worried, it does seem to be one of his best subjects. But I just wish I'd seen a bit of revision.

Work wise things are calming down for me HT backed down when confronted with union so fingers crossed everything goes back to normal ish and I can save my worrying for DS.

QOD · 12/05/2015 07:33

2 lots of biology today ....
Good luck folks

Dd seems calm and got up extra early so she can eat a proper breakfast.

She's humming and seems fine

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2015 07:37

Aunt P that is great newsSmile

Well DD slept (once I had shouted enough at DH to stop him going in again) through to 6.45 this morning!!! This is unheard of and will be much better for her than any amount of revision, though she was sitting up in bed doing Biology on her laptop when I went in at 7!

I now have to take her and pick up mate to go to school - getting there will be OK, but getting back for work is a challenge. Feeling very nervous for her again.

auntpetunia · 12/05/2015 07:40

tilly I know, the amount of head space I had to give it over the weekend was ridiculous but hopefully all sorted as long as parent goes away after letter.

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 07:43

Good luck everyone!

Horsemad · 12/05/2015 07:50

OK, the day is here!! Grin

French x 2 and Biology x 2. I'm trying to appear cool, calm and collected but inside I'm a wreck!
DS IS cool, calm and collected ( he's ace Smile ).

I've 'run' in all his new pens to make sure they work and just tried to keep calm...

This is the worst but of being a parent, you want them to do welk, but only they can do it.
Good Luck Everyone Wink

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/05/2015 08:03

dd got some sleep between midnight or so and 6 am
French and Biology here
Lychees for breakfast - trying to tempt her to have something (she doesn't always)
dh has left for work early claiming he's hoping to see a rare bird on the way ( tbf he is a bit of a birder)
truck's just moved out of the road - it was blocking our drive for a while
socks found for DC
I think it's all good. Leaving (for school!) in a mo

Good luck especially fellow Francophiles and Biologists Smile

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/05/2015 08:06

Oh, dd slightly worryingly, just picked up her calculator from the kitchen desk here saying "Oh, I need this for biology" So, thought I'd pass that on in case any of yours need theirs too

motherstongue · 12/05/2015 08:12

Another one here whose DS sat RE yesterday. One of his favourite subjects so he was happy with how it went. Biology today, his least favourite science!

I am at home recovering from major surgery so have lots of time to worry! At least he sends me a text at the end of each exam to let me know how it went. Some of the texts make me worry more, lol.

He has exams almost daily (apart from 1/2 term) up until 18th June finishing with Latin and Statistics before heading off to complete his Duke of Edinburgh silver award. I can't wait for the summer holidays so it is all over.

titchy · 12/05/2015 08:14

Biology this afternoon (is everyone doing the same here?!). Dd still asleep hmm

RE yesterday was meh apparently, although she can't remember writing on the paper which numbered questions she answered. So that'll be nil points then...

Horsemad · 12/05/2015 08:20

I feel nervous as hell, felt the same 2 years ago when DS1 did his. Sad

I'm sure my parents weren't this worried for me Hmm

canny1234 · 12/05/2015 08:21

Biology and French here today too.Though dd1 seems to be an oasis of calmness. No doubt because of lots of juicing yesterday of fruit and vegetables ( new juicer and good distraction therapy).
SATs twins went to school early for 'toast ' club.Nearly died as dd2 got ds1 up early for this. This has never been done before!
Dc4 still claiming to be sick and gone back to bed.

Horsemad · 12/05/2015 08:21

That MG link is fab BTW! Grin Have sent that to my teacher friends!!

CoffeeBeanie · 12/05/2015 08:24

Everyone seems to do French and Biology today.

French being the worst subject and Biology the best here.

DD has long left and I hope the French goes ok. She needs an A in Biology to study it at A Level at her school. She should be able to get it, she loves Biology and has done loads of revision.

Good luck for all on day 2.

HSMMaCM · 12/05/2015 08:30

It appears the French session this morning was just an excuse to eat Croissants Grin

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 08:36

I am having a moment.

Ds1 gave me a letter from school as he got out of the car. it has details of where to give your locker key back to, what to do with unwanted uniform and the Leavers' assembly. My PFB is finishing school. Sad The PE Kit is being washed as we speak for the final time.

He's staying on for 6th Form so no idea why I feel quite so upset. Sad

FabFlorist · 12/05/2015 08:44

signing in too, dd1 is driving me crazy, mostly because we are having to try and make her revise and she is adamant she is doing it all at school Hmm and she seems to think that the whole world revolves around her because she has exams that she doesn't particularly care about, I'd be much more sympathetic if I believed she actually cared...... she seems to think I should be her personal taxi service and slave....I think she is forgetting I have to run my businesses to pay for the roof over her head.

Last night we booked her 2 extra maths tuition sessions and she moaned....we really would like her to get a C and we have been having a tutor come to the house for 18 months now Sad Hmm we just want to give her the best shot at getting it.

and breathe....

Horsemad · 12/05/2015 08:45

Yup, 'tis a strange feeling, Sparkling.

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/05/2015 08:48

Aww sparkling - I've been thinking of dd when she was a baby and things like picking her up from playgroup where she used to run across this great big hall to me at pick-up time - then show me her paintings that were left to dry in the corridor. She's still a bit of an artist!

Hey, be proud Sparkling Smile Look what you did together!

< sniff, passes tissues Smile >

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 08:48

I had a cry Horsemad. This is silly. Blush

I think it's because i started thinking about YR and buying the first uniform/PE kit and to think that's all done and dusted now. I should be glad I don't have to take him to that uniform shop any more!

Plus DS2 is only Year 8 so a few more years yet...

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 08:50

Oh Juggling I am sobbing now, forgot about pre-school.

Horsemad · 12/05/2015 08:52

Same here when DS1 did his GCSEs. Last year when he started looking at unis, I did have a big cry one day. Once I got that out of the way I felt better Smile
I haven't been as emotional with DS2, but am nervous for him.
