This thread is moving fast, can tell the exams finally here ! Just 1hr Biology for DD which will have finished at 2pm. She's not revising for science though as no chance of getting Additional having got a D in Core. There are science teacher issues at her school, they either leave or get suspended for ODing on illegal drugs it seems - guess a chemistry teacher's version of home brew is different to the rest of ours (have I been watching too much Breaking Bad?!)

She was okish after Ethics when home but said she felt spaced out after an one or her friends got stroppy plus walked off in a huff as thought she was ignoring him. I caught sight of a hoodie order form at the weekend but when asked for it yesterday it has vanished and need a Prom ticket form.

Can't remember all the stuff on the othe pages as have a brain like a sieve at moment but welcome to all newcomers. Aunt P, really glad work is working better. Huge sympathy for on the migraine front, DD seems to be getting stomach migraines. Loved the guinea pig revision !

I spent a lot of time yesterday trying to part DS from his bloody tooth. He had 2 SATs papers yesterday but said tooth not a distracting as it could be thankfully but was starving as it took so long to eat. He's only got one paper today so better and am hoping he comes out with a gappy smile.

The stress is making me sleep loads at the moment.

bigTillyMint · 12/05/2015 14:58

SugarPlum I am Envy that the stress is making you sleep loads - I keep waking up all through the night - having vivid dreams!

"'Turn your papers over'

"

Oh god...... My poor poor little girl Sad

I was never so happy as when I had finished exams for ever!

SugarPlumTree · 12/05/2015 15:24

Sorry, I should have known better than to mention it Blush DH keeps having nightmares and my friend has been on just a few hours a night since end of March as has 2 doing exams.

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 15:27

YY Irian we want them to hear 'Put your pens down' for the final time asap. Cake Brew

TheWoollybacksWife · 12/05/2015 15:42

Well I've just had a tears emoji text after Biology Sad

Sparklingbrook · 12/05/2015 15:44

Oh no Woolly. Sad I have just had a text asking me to pick DS up from three bus stops before the usual. That usually means something's up.

SugarPlumTree · 12/05/2015 15:49

Oh no Sad Feel for you both and hope it is tiredness and stres talking rather than reality.

Littleham · 12/05/2015 15:54

Oh no Wooley. What exam board?

Littleham · 12/05/2015 15:54

By the way, if the exam is really awful it usually means lower grade boundaries.

canny1234 · 12/05/2015 15:55

Dd1- forecast A* also has just told me there were a few difficult questions in the Biology paper.Particularly the last one for 4 marks. She didn't know the answer. But also some easier ones towards the beginning where you could pick up marks.

IrianofWay · 12/05/2015 15:56

Biology was 'Meeeeeeeehh! Not great' apparently.

B 2+3 here. survived despite last nights migraine. First one down!

JugglingFromHereToThere · 12/05/2015 16:32

dd says biology was "OK" but wasn't that happy about which things came up - an 11 mark question about the kidneys apparently which she wasn't too hot on whereas loads of other things she'd worked hard on didn't come up. I tried to reassure that I'm sure she did OK anyway and they can't test everything - biology especially seems such a big subject.

But doesn't sound too bad - hopefully OK for sixth form which will be the main thing. She just told me it was worth 50% today though, and CW done worth 25%, so last exam only 25% to go.

French less important for her but she says think C rather than B or A. A C might be a bit disappointing for her - But she says French is all done now! Thank goodness! The tears we've had over all that French CA especially speaking tests - seemed to be endlessly re-doing them to try and squeeze a few extra marks out of them. Was it really worth it? - especially when as a fairly quiet person she found the experience so stressful and painful

Am liking ticking a few things off though!

Only have ICT tomorrow which is a bit of an extra one or so it feels. So, a chance to breathe - maybe a good night for Wine later?!

tbtc · 12/05/2015 16:39

DS home. He's very happy with how biology went. I keep telling him it's in his genes and that he should take it at A level (ho ho ho).

They started playing the wrong tape for French so that wasted about 20 mins. He thinks it went well enough and due to high scores on other parts of the course (I struggle to keep up TBH) he's happy.

He's cooking up bacon, mushrooms and bagel now before we go to running club together. Love my boy.

HSMMaCM · 12/05/2015 16:43

DD in a foul mood. No comments about exams.
