I don't know - I've never had to do this, but it would seem like a logical step - but best to check with those who have played this game before! I'll keep my fingers crossed you get it on appeal.

I dont think we have any grounds to appeal. If the admission criteria has been applied correctly what do you do.

Got our first choice :-)

Well in 10 years only 2 children have turned a place down at this school so I doubt we'll get in off a waiting list.

Got 4th choice (not really a choice just filling in the gaps) Heres hoping for waiting lists x

Wow, the system worked here - didn't expect them to be posted until morning, so glad I read threads on here about results at midnight (got first choice).

System worked in Devon at 12.01, we got first choice grammar!

Okay if anyone is still here. Accepting a lower choice is the thing to do, then go on waiting lists for all those you would prefer. Grounds for appeal at secondary are much wider than for infants. I know lots of people who have won their appeals, although the criteria have been applied correctly.
The gurus will be around soon I am sure, and search through old posts to get more idea of what is involved.
