oh my goodness, is no one else up waiting to press the button at 12:01? Feels like christmas eve, a mix of excitement and dread. Have we been good or bad this year???

We can get results at 12:01, am thinking might have preferred a nights sleep cos I feel like I am about to give birth. Doesn't help that my DD1 said before she went to bed this is the first time she has ever felt nervous (despite sitting the bloody exam and numerous dance shows previously) Didn't think I was this nervous til every one went to bed and left me to it. Live in a small house, but by god it still has enough space to pace

I'm in Essex, think I'm going to have to wait up!!!. Just hoping website doesn't crash

coolascucumber · 29/02/2012 23:11

I'm doing this for the third time (also in Essex) and have to tell you that the system crashes every year.

Lynli · 29/02/2012 23:11

Hope to find out at midnight, DS wont go to sleep until he knows.

southeastastra · 29/02/2012 23:14

i really don't get all this fuss, though i support the local school and know ds will get in there

drivinmecrazy · 29/02/2012 23:14

I don't get how you can get your results just after midnight. Ours aren't online til 9.30am.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 29/02/2012 23:18

I'm here.

Imvhe though, 12.01 is anecdotal.

Sad
ChickensHaveNoLips · 29/02/2012 23:18

Chanced our arm by applying to DS's preferred school, but expect to get in to the perfectly acceptable local secondary. Have been trying to steer DS towards the local secondary, so he isn't too disappointed.

casawasa · 29/02/2012 23:18

I live in Scotland so we don't have this sort of stress.

I remember crying to this one when my DD1 started 'big school' at 4. Feels pretty relevant right now too. Still my baby

FYP · 29/02/2012 23:50

Errmm I am watching this thread. I don't know any of you, I don't even have a child waiting secondary school allocation (20th April, ds3 to reception)...oh and I live 100's of miles away from Essex!

But I have my fingers crossed for you all Grin

ChippingInNeedsCoffee · 29/02/2012 23:52

Fingers crossed everyone :)

crkm · 29/02/2012 23:53

7 minutes and counting..... dont want my ds's bubble burst!

NormanTheForeman · 29/02/2012 23:54

Ah, we live in Suffolk and ds is in year 6 but hasn't applied to Essex schools. Some of his friends have though, so we will be interested to see the results.

Can anyone view the website, or do you have to have a child who has applied in Essex to see them?

BrightnessFalls · 29/02/2012 23:54

Is it only Essex that finds out tomorrow?

VivaLeBeaver · 29/02/2012 23:59

Im here, pressing and pressing.
