Hello everyone just moving into a new area and due to the move stress and all that haven?t had chance to get the correct uniform from the approved supplier for my year 7 son as yet. No idea now what to do come Monday? Uniform seems quiet strict as opposed to more relaxed at his current school (from polo and jumper to blazer and tie). So any suggestions I?m torn between sending him in with his own clothes as opposed to his current uniform?

Great that they lent him a blazer and tie - fingers crossed for another OK day tomorrow.

Thanks, I still think he?s a bit shell shocked over his rapid change of identity from the haircut and new uniform, home and everything as am I am losing my year 7 baby! Am a bit annoyed the stuff they gave him was generic i.e. no badge or piping on the blazer but I asked him and the head of house said he can?t wear the badge or piping yet since he?s not formally a member of his house yet (They have some kind of formal ceremony or induction for pupils coming in mid-year which is nice) he?s been told when he gets his proper blazer on Wednesday that he?s not allowed to put it on until he?s formally inducted by his form rep into the form, house and school so yes he was singled out a bit but apparently this is normal for new pupils hear so others know to welcome them, and he?s made a friend or two already! So things already on the up, daughter did fine today happy as can be in her school so a little less stressed now and home is coming together!

I don't know if its been mentioned but MOST schools have a second hand shop you can call in on - just a thought! otherwise it'll be arriving at the school shop first thing (provided its open Mon mornings) and getting to school a little later. Good luck
