DS needs Bs in the subjects he wants to take to A level, but I think he will need an A/A* to do F/maths, which he'll need to study engineering.

He came in to tell me about his 5 exams in 4 days next week, and he how he needs to crack on with the revision, and has gone straight into the garden and onto the trampoline Confused, maybe he's studying Newton's laws Grin

Me too, TSC and Mabs, I'll be there with my Strongbow.

Do yours also have English next week? DS just came in with Keats "to Autumn" while I was ironing and spent 5 minutes dissecting it with me.

that seems to be today's revision for the day as he's back on PS3 now Hmm

God help you all! I was there last year and this year the first year college exams As or whatever are looming. Ds had a re take in sociology last week did nothing that I saw. He had a maths which is part of his overall course requirement today and yesterday was either on FB or playing with the x box. You all have my sympathy it is a hard time. We argued and fell out so much over that period that we never really recovered and have continued in teh same vein all year Shock!

BRILLIANT idea TSC i'll be there...!

DD also has English on monday and although better 'read' than me - seems incapable of stringing sentences together Hmm I am DREADING it.

There is NO SIGN AT ALL of any stress and tb frank i do not think this a good sign. Just seems immature.

She's gone on a run and is tonight obsessing about the school picnic to celebrate the last day of 'compulsory schooling'

May the lord/ allah / buddha/the cat have pity on us all....

I think we can trump you all (re: high density of exams) because, next week, my DS has 7 exams in 4 days. Monday is English and French, Tues is ICT, Weds is Citizenship and English, Thurs is French and Biology. The rest of his exams are much more spread out, thank goodness.

Oh the relief to have found this thread!!!! How I have been suffering since the Easter hols.

Her exams begin on Monday. The first week she has two English, two French and a Biology.

Her school have seriously messed up the Biology for her class though as well as being seriously disorganised (this is down to the new head) so she is in a state of high anxiety. My main job is to try and keep her calm. She was unable to revise in the holidays due to stress (scary for me to watch) and has only just started doing a bit with me almost literally holding her hand so has been a horrid time really. It doesn't help that the teachers at school have in some cases not finished their syllabuses and are in a state of tension themselves (shouting and snapping).

I just hope that she will have done enough to get through.

DS officially finished Y11 yesterday at 11.30am. He spent all afternoon in the garden with friends (talking about girls apparently). He's promised to be out of bed this morning by 9, but I'll be in complete Shock if that actually happens!

He managed to get up about 9.30am, but has only just started any revision..... plus he's in a foul mood (even though I haven't done any nagging at all!).

Your poor DD Maryz, I hope her Art/Science clash doesn't cause any major problems!

Y11s don't get any study leave, they have to stay in school right up until the end of their exams - so at least I know he will have to do some revision each day!

In fact Y13s don't finish for another week, so for my DS it will be the day after his 18th birthday, and his exams start on the Monday, 23 May

indeed Maryz, a real phone call, not just a text!

Year 11 don't have study leave until 8 June at dd school, and after that they only go it for the exams, but most of hers are over then. I am very pleased she is taught right up to the moment of them! she needs all the help she can get :( including Sat French revision sessions ..
