2026 SQA exams - is there a thread?

I can't see a thread so am starting it!

Last year my DS went through a mix of Hs and AH in S6 and now is finishing first year of uni.

It's now the middle child's turn - she's sitting six Highers in S5, and they're all packed in over about thirteen days! She's totally finished by the 11th.

Can't believe they've come round so fast.

DC ‘s results through a few minutes ago . They got what they needed to get into their first choice uni .
Hope others have heard . Congratulations to this that have got the results they needed and commiseration's to those that didn’t . Such a difficult for DC and their parents .

2A, 2B and a C here. She's delighted, especially with the C in English as she failed her prelim.

UCAS have a good 10 minute film about what to do on results day on their website . Goes through different outcomes .

Ours were 8am on the dot. DS got his first choice uni.

Nothing here for 2 DSs too. They signed up for text and email and have a confirmation email saying thanks for signing up with QS (they got this months ago) but someone has now said it was a 2 stage sign up process 🤷🏻‍♀️. Really frustrating as they are both nervous. And out post is really unreliable!

My DD is now doubting wether she signed up with SQA or QS as her results still haven't come through and she's so upset. We're on holiday so will need to wait until we get home to check the post 😬

A few minutes past 8 here. Got the results needed for first choice uni, so we’re all delighted!

My DS is waiting for nat5 results today, Can I ask for anyone waiting for postal results, are Royal Mail delivering these? The correspondence from the school seems adamanent results will be delivered today, however I have doubts royal mail will do everyone's in one day?

Both my DSs swear they signed up and then entered the activation code, but it looks like it must have worked. Have to wait for the post. Which is very unreliable. Thank god they are no waiting on results for university entry!

Well done to everyone. I hope that when the dust settles they can all be pleased with their achievements.
Results came at 8.45 here. 3As and 2Bs. Lots of disappointment with a B in English as she’s scored around 90% all year but I am incredibly proud of her. I posted on this thread for advice if she was unable to sit due to illness. She’s overcome so much this year.

I hope everyone who's still waiting gets their results soon.

Nat 5 for ds, seven As and one B.

He's happy with his results but a bit disappointed in the B as it wasnt expected. I can live with a B for cookery 🤣. I was more worried about other subjects, but he's done it.

The results came by email at 8.10, the text message followed a few minutes later. DS's got the grades he needs to get into his first choice university, so we're all very happy here. I hope everyone gets the results they need or want, and sooner rather than later!

2A, 2B and a C here. History was a B when she usually gets near full marks, so she's disappointed with that and Music was a C after she was forced to do the vocal performance practical ill and couldn't get the notes out. She wants to appeal, but we'll see how close she was, as don't think she can appeal the practical. Most of the courses she's looking at need ABBB, which she has now.

Nat5s here (email just after 8 & text about 20 mins later) all As! So pleased although she thinks it’s because the grade boundary is lower but who cares! She did same in prelim so put herself under a lot of pressure

DS1 got his email at 9.30. He is pleased with his results apart from geography which is his favorite and he was predicted an A and got a C
DS2 still no email or text. Waiting on post man

We got the email at 8.01 so can’t fault the system! Esp after DD wasn’t sure if she had signed up correctly.
4 As and 1 B. Thrilled! She dragged her English H from a D to a B which is amazing. Annoyingly she’s just a mark off an A but we’ll take the B.

Shes particularly happy with the A for Maths which actually proved to be her best mark all round. I think there will be some sort of ceremonial burning of all her past papers later on as she hated Maths and really regretted taking it for H.

thank god that’s over….ive been nervous for days and was awake at 5.30 going over every possible scenario. Ned a snooze now!

DD made me wait until 10 to wake her up. She’s in a right grump about it and has gone back to sleep. She’s got the grades needed to get into college. She had a rough year in relation to her mental health so I’m proud of how she pulled it all together.

DS aged 16 got his Nat 5s this morning a few minutes after 8am....8 A's! Very happy household today 🙌

Well done to all those who did well but for those who didn't get their grades don't let this define you. There are other options out there.

We have an older DS who had additional needs in school and is doing well as an adult now. He got a mix of As, Bs and one C at Nat5 level. Life is what you make of it. Thinking of all the students like my eldest too who have had it difficult and still went through sitting these exams and done their very best.

Grrrr. The two offers that DD has for college have disappeared off her college account. I thought it would be automatically updated, but there’s nothing now. I’m assuming/hoping that they’re updating the system. But I won’t be able to settle until I see her acceptance.

We got the results earlier through text . Have also just got the certificates / envelope through the post too .
Not great postal service here , although not rural . It was sent first class through Royal Mail . So hopefully Royal Mail has prioritised this post and those who are waiting for these - will get them through soon .
