That is a disgraceful decision. The Act itself is a pile of pants but how can anyone who has any sense of decency not see that that was actually, genuinely, hateful. And the Police can't even interpret the law correctly.

There's nothing in the Act that says the person making the complaint has to have the protected characteristics.

Im so sickened and angry now at this SNP/ Green administration waste of money and skewed spending priorities on PR, hate crimes, named person debacle, court battles with Westminster etc etc.
It has really hit home in a week in which we've struggled to get an ambulance for a 86 year old who lost consciousness and sustained a bleeding head injury after a fall, a young teacher relative has despaired of obtaining a permanent teaching post and following press reports of Scottish children being left crippled for life following constant delays to much needed scoliosis surgery.
