The bbc Scottish news today is reporting that " one day in, the bill is already the focus of intense controversy largely because of those comments made on social media by the author JK Rowling. She described several transgender women as men ." ....... " And invited" the police "to arrest her" if she's in breach of the law.

Because of short sentences guidelines the sheriff could only impose community order as the maximum on a rapist in the making.

Scottish government ‘surprised’ at the opprobrium the gate act has never met with. Like they were surprised that their inaction over dangerous dogs meant they were shipped to Scotland. Like they were surprised a rent freeze resulted in the highest rental inflation in Europe. Like they were surprised that violence in Scottish schools is soaring after they ban permanent exclusion. Like they are surprised the gender recognition act was stopped by the Supreme Court.
