3 out of 10 of my DS's 15 year old friends are "trans"

DS had his friends over. We were told there would be 9 boys and one girl when we asked who was coming.

When they turned up two were very obviously female. Neither of those were the "girl" though.

So 3 with trans identities out of a group of 10. Seems statistically improbable to me. And people say it's not a fashion or social contagion? 🤔

If all three remain trans into adulthood I will eat my hat.

Yet under Nicola's GRR reforms they could legally sign a statutory declaration and change their sex next year.

It's utterly ludicrous. Why are our children being failed so badly by our politicians?

Unlikely to be for an article, this is normal for teens now, and as the op rightly says, Nicola Sturgeon has passed a bill that would allow 16 yr olds to legally change their sex, which is bloody stupid as the vast majority of “trans” children desist if left alone.

It’s clearly social contagion, which most parents of teens have come across, if they haven’t already heard the bonkersness of gender ideology and its cult-like following.

It's astonishing the number of people who are just hand waving away the damage being caused to our children. Worse are those who think it's progressive and something to be celebrated.

My DD, now 15, I am very grateful to tell you is coming out (pun intended) of the other side of her trans phase. She quickly progressed from non-binary to trans having started high school and joined the LGBT school club. This was a lunch club run by S5 and S6 children with no teacher present who essentially sold it all to her in some sort of marketing context, she then became addicted to TikTok where the algorithms showed her more and more content, normalising everything she was looking at. We ended up in 2 years of hell with multiple suicide attempts until we finally managed to get some MH support and started on the right meds to start helping her see the woods for the trees.

She is now incredibly mature and reflective about what happened (willingly come off all social media) and recently told me she started to act depressed as it was trendy and then in the same way of faking it till you make it, ended up being genuinely very seriously depressed and found she couldn’t stop feeling that way.

We threw everything at a roll of the dice, moved house, managed to get her into a small private school where they were incredibly supportive of her and I think saved her life.

As a family we are now skint but happy, but why should we have to find the money for private school just to get her away from the toxic culture fostered in state school? And while I’m incredibly thankful that with house sales, job moves and an increased mortgage we can just do this, there are so many families who just don’t have our option. State schools are failing our children and disguising it as trying to be inclusive.

My DD was bullied very badly by a group of kids who identified as non binary, lesbian etc and although identifying as straight, had no idea what she was meant to be saying etc. These kids would use my DD as a kind of counsellor, texting her to say they were self harming, feeling suicidal and DD just couldn't cope with it. When she tried to pull away, they sent her text death threats. The school were useless. Like a PP we explored other schools. One state school that was higher performing looked good, until we saw they were even more involved in the trans agenda. So we looked at private and were in the process of signing up, when DD revealed she'd made some new friends and wanted to see how she got on with that friendship group. I was really worried it wouldn't work out, but it has. Her friends are much nicer, she's doing much better, and the girl who sent the text threats had a visit from the police and has backed off. Its so sad though to see really cute kids from primary, suddendly become teens I don't recognise.

The fact that it's OBVIOUSLY social
contagion yet Sturgeon, Harvie, Chapman, Starmer etc are all pushing irreversible hormones and surgeries on children, many of whom are autistic is now something that must be stopped now before more children's lives are ruined and body parts amputated.

We need to be writing to every single paper with these stories that our children are enduring.
