Woohoo! Since this campaign has been so successful, can we campaign to bring the Singing Kettle back too? And the Alpine ginger lorries? Grin

mawbroon · 13/04/2015 23:28

Take your partners for a Strip the Willow!

Actually, it would probably have to be the Slosh. Probably not many blokes to dance with. Shock

APlaceInTheWinter · 13/04/2015 23:35

mawbroon you can do a Strip the Willow without men voice of experience from attending an all-girls' school but will we finish the night with Runrig's Loch Lomond or the traditional one?

member · 13/04/2015 23:45

Howzitgaun?

Another exiled Scot here so won't be using this section routinely but came to see what the patter was.

mawbroon · 13/04/2015 23:51

Definitely Auld Lang Syne to end the night. I like it traditional.

Any key you like, but I usually play it in F or D.....

And then 32 bars of a reel to heuch and birl to, then "thank you, good night, safe journey home" then put the big lights on and pack up and go home.

We don't ponder why, we demand how??? Said by the great Kevin bridges xxxx

shirleybasseyslovechild · 14/04/2015 00:52

why , just why?
what a terrible idea.

Are we going to have all sorts of regional nets ?
and the non funny stereotypes , ghastly.
ps I am Scottish and will have to hide this topic.
WE ARE NO DIFFERENT FROM ANYONE ELSE

we certainly don't need false divisions

Calm yer pants Shirley.

It's because things like the school system, holidays and indeed the law are different here.

Thank you, MNHQ Thanks

SirChenjin · 14/04/2015 08:14

Shirley - I totally understand your concerns, but this thread is to discuss Scotland-specific things like law, education and health, without having to caveat our posts with "I'm from Scotland". The moment it becomes a parochial, wee, breakaway site I'm outta here - not interested.

BarbRoyle · 14/04/2015 08:26

Dugs baws

Jackieharris · 14/04/2015 16:58

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 15/04/2015 20:03

Fit like!
We need an irn bru beverage and a jaggy thistle instead o the floowers. We could have a rowie instead of the biscuit.

OftheTwilighttheDarkness · 15/04/2015 20:04

Are they dark chocolate buttonhole?

ArseForElbow · 15/04/2015 20:43
