We're in Finland, summer holidays have always been long, but we don't get Easter holidays, just the long weekend, and only have two half term breaks (as only two terms) rather than the 3 half terms in the UK.

It must feel glorious to my daughter, seeing all those weeks of summer stretching before her. Having to feed my children lunch every week day instead of school/daycare providing is less glorious though!

22nd July Cornwall

Not at all! I'm not hemmed in by school holidays any more!! Having the cheapest holiday in years by going before the Scottish schools break up!

20th of July. I'm looking forward to it this year.

Thursday 21st July, SE England. We are having the Friday off as we have tacked our extra bank holiday day on to the end of term. However we will mostly (staff) all be going in anyway to clear and move and sort new classrooms!

22nd July, NE England. They go back 6th September.

Going to be a brutal half term before Christmas, 31st October right through until 23rd December. Christmas holidays will be 24th December to 12th January.

24th June Scotland

Cor when people in England moan about 6 weeks summer holiday being too long they don't know how lucky they are compared to some!

I can spot the North Americans! Also USA, we are a relatively late finish ending this coming Friday. We go back 29th August, so about 10 weeks. Some places have 12!

22nd July SE England state school (one of the joys of pulling them out of private to state was the shorter hols!)

I can't believe some of you in Scotland and Ireland having massive holidays I never knew!

Edinburgh finishes on 1 July. Three more weeks to go!
