Does anyone else have to pick their partners underwear off the floor?

Basically just got told that he didn't see why I should have a problem with this because I don't do anything else anymore.... I'm extremely hurt. I really feel he resents me for being a SAHP. Our DC is 8 months old.

Asking machine? Washing, obviously.

No, never. And I am a sahm (student really but just had a very long summer!) to adult children. Husband works long hours. However he always manages to put his dirty clothes in the wash basket. Because he is not a twat.

You don’t do anything anymore?

Sounds like an excellent time for an object lesson. Leave the house on Saturday morning at 7am and come back about 6pm. Be interesting to see if he still feels you don’t “do anything”

(Don’t prep any food or clothes in advance obviously).

Yes, I have resigned myself to it

My DH always has always left it way too late to get to work and leaves everything everywhere! I pretty much always tidy them but I know if I left them until he got back he would tidy them. I don't think he would ever expect me to pick up after him, I just usually end up doing it! It's a minor inconvenience and a less than perfect trait in amongst many good traits so I choose not to let it wind me up! If I did i'd be permanently angry!!

Mamabear12 · 19/11/2018 21:40

Ha. My dh does this sometimes and I leave it there. I tell him to pick them up. And I have been known to go on strike and not wash any of his his underwear lol.

Rudolphtherednose · 04/12/2018 20:23

Yes. Underwear / clothes / wet towels etc are left on floor. Dirty dishes, empty crisp packets etc are left wherever he was eating.

dementedpixie · 04/12/2018 20:29

If it's not in the washing basket it doesn't get washed. Even the kids know that. I'm not their maid

dreamyflower · 06/12/2018 00:15

DH does and then I tell him to put it in washing, which he does. He doesn't leave it for me to pick up, just doesn't think to put it in washing.
