i must be weird as well as did it all the time. but then i like to know my baby is ok all the time.

SusieCarmichael · 10/03/2010 19:47

well then call me weird!

we lived in a one bed flat until dd was 1.3 so not much choice really and no, i don't like doing it on the sofa every night

undertheboredwalk · 10/03/2010 19:48

Did same too, baby is now 9 though so not any more lol

bumpybecky · 10/03/2010 19:51

we've kept the 'baby' in our room until 13 months, 9 months, 34(!) months and 14 months old

must have had sex many many times with them in the room, virtually always asleep during though (the baby, not me!)

SirBoobAlot · 10/03/2010 19:56

Another weirdo here too

tartyhighheels · 10/03/2010 19:59

yup, me too

curvychick · 10/03/2010 20:37

Yep, with all four of them...although dc4 soon moved into her own room when one morning DP and i were at it doggy style, he glanced around and she was lying there wide awake smiling at him Kind of killed the moment for him!

yellowcircle · 10/03/2010 20:44

It's fine, we did this even when DS was awake when he was very tiny and the only thing he looked at was his mobile.

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 10/03/2010 20:48

pmsl @ curvychick

we had fab sex one morning when DS2 had fallen asleep in our bed after his 5am feed we were very very quiet and very gentle so we didn't wake him.. perhaps that heightened it all.

whittywan · 10/03/2010 20:58

Yup, us too. DS still very little though.

MiraMoreVino · 10/03/2010 21:00

We did, too. They slept through it. We went downstairs if we wanted to swing from the ikea light fittings chandeliers.

Gay40 · 21/03/2010 18:48

No, you aren't weird at all, but there's nothing that puts you off more than a sleepy voice saying "what are you doing?"
Fortunately we've never been observed, as we freeze like rabbits in headlights if we hear signs of awake.

maduggar · 21/03/2010 19:40

Nope, couldnt do it personally.

foxytocin · 21/03/2010 19:43

the check to see if they are soundly asleep or bound to wake up is to move an arm or leg of their's. If they don't flinch then they'll sleep through it.

This is with a toddler in the same bed btw.

teaandcakeplease · 21/03/2010 19:44

I was too scared of waking the baby myself! And being interrupted by a grumpy baby wanting a feed.

No wonder my hubby had an affair. I should've been care free and not worried

Why is it weird to do it with baby in room?

MarshaMallow · 21/03/2010 19:49

We did...or there would have been no DC's 2 and 3!

We were very, very quiet though and several times I had a hand shoved over my mouth at 'THE' Oh Yeah, moment coz I just don't do quiet very well!

dolphin13 · 21/03/2010 20:08

I'm with you maduggar I think its a bit ickky. Made great use of the shower room, lounge, even the garden one night when we knew the neighbours were away.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 21/03/2010 20:11

We are wierdos.

IMoveTheStars · 21/03/2010 20:11

Only when DS tiny - he slept in our room til 8mo. Never stirred...

before I had DS I was totally repulsed by the thought but hey, i got over it

JustMyTwoPenceWorth · 21/03/2010 20:12

Nope. never did (back when we did it at all ). Each to their own and all that, not judging other's choices but I personally found it, well, dirty. That's how I felt.

peachygirl · 21/03/2010 20:16

We do. DD2 is still in with us.

mitfordsisters · 21/03/2010 20:36

ANother weirdo here

posieparker · 21/03/2010 20:39

We did.....

Lionstar · 21/03/2010 20:40

Even when we do it in another room DS has a sixth sense and starts yelling for a feed . Never had a problem with it though in general.

Gay40 · 21/03/2010 20:43

To a certain point they have no idea what's going on anyway. Just wriggling.
