......Did you have a lucky escape or has someone else got the love of your life??

I sent my ex a text this afternoon just to see what he was up to etc.

His eldest daughter was 19 last month. His next daughter is 17 next week. His next daughter, from a girl he met when we were just about over, is 4 on Sunday and his next daughter, from another girl, is 1 next month.

His Granddaughter is almost 2. - making his Grandaughter a year older than his youngest daughter!!!!!

And he's only 38!!!!!! Think it's safe to say i had a lucky escape lol

Well he wasn't even properly mine cos we messed each other about that much we never quite got it together properly. Have to say it is my biggest regret, but he is happily married now and doesn't want any contact even as friends which i find hard as if friends was all he'd wanted then that would of been fine with me.

Blimey i can't half waffle sometimes

lavenderrr · 09/05/2005 20:16

do you regret it Nutcracker

tamum · 09/05/2005 20:16

Mine is a hotel and restaurant owner in Bermuda. If I ever retained any slim shreds of anonymity they've gone now

helsy · 09/05/2005 20:21

He's married with a couple of children and living in the place I grew up in, which he always said was a dive - right place, wrong woman maybe?

Gwenick · 09/05/2005 20:23

Haven't got a clue - but I do know his dad died last year and hit the national press as he left £5000 to have the hospital windows cleaned as when he was dying he notice how dirty they were (he was a private doctor - but was treated for Leukemia (sp) in a NHS hospital)!!!

piffle · 09/05/2005 20:25

lucky escape, teenage monent of madness, married man, 5 kids, my boss... (his wife was actually screwing the local fireman and fell pregnant to him with her 6th and 7th kids (twins)
So it was all diabolical really at 17...
The break up was hysteria and mess as he cheated on me (yes I know.... but I trusted back then)
He remarried and refuses to talk about our past relationship but talks about the horses we worked on together - he was my boss at the stud farm I worked on...
That said I have never loved any man the way I love dp though...
the only guy I really miss was my svengali just before I met dp 6.5 yrs ago, he taught me so much and I would love to know how he is doing.

SenoraPostrophe · 09/05/2005 20:48

ok really, mine read mumsnet so I'm not saying anything.

stitch · 09/05/2005 20:49

well, i married mine!

hotmama · 09/05/2005 20:54

He's playing footie at the moment - hence I have logged onto Mumsnet.

Been with him since I was 14 and I am now 38 - silver party next year - not anniversary as we are not married - but party nonetheless.

Hasn't anyone got any famous ex-loves apart from Yasmin le Bon's husband - I feel a HEAT moment coming!

expatinscotland · 09/05/2005 20:56

No. Don't want to know, either.

treacletart · 09/05/2005 20:57

I know what hey're all doing and see 2 of them regularly..

My first married the girl after me and is now happily loaded and living in Cambridge with 2 kids. Haven't seen him for years, but I'm still in touch with his brother. Bizarrely, he does come up quite often as a character in dreams... not in any lustful sense at all and rarely part of the plot, but he's just there sometimes. (weird)

I was with the next one for 7 years and he now lives round the corner from me with the woman he left me for and their ds who's the same age as mine - I see them quite often and I'm quite good friends with her now ( even though when they first met she used to give me regular 3am nuisance calls!)

The next one also in the same town, now happy with GF and a lovely little boy

Strange how I have absolutely no more sexual feelings for any of then at all - also seeing them always makes me very very grateful that I'm now with DH.

wheresmyfroggy · 09/05/2005 21:00

Haven't got a scooby

fairyfly · 09/05/2005 21:01

i have heard ff spends her life in a mass of indecision and never knows what she is doing, hence the study of 17 a levels all in all and my x being my boyfriend then my x then my boyfriend. most people in real life have stopped listening, this is why i spend as many waking moments as possible on here

SenoraPostrophe · 09/05/2005 21:03

in that case, wmf, you should change your username to wheresmyscooby

zebraX · 09/05/2005 21:04

Married to a lady named Marilyn, step-dad to a DD, biological dad to a DD born about 2.5 years ago. We were all wrong for each other, but very funnily he's settled down to such a conventional life (which is not that unlike mine in some respects).

wheresmyfroggy · 09/05/2005 21:05

senora

mancmum · 09/05/2005 21:16

who cares what he is doing when the real love of my life is sat opposite me having looked after our kids all day and all night when I popped out for a quick drink and did not come back for 4 hours...and never complained...

galaxy · 09/05/2005 21:17

My 1st true love is married with 2 children according to Friends Reunited I adored him but adore my wonderful dh more.

snafu · 09/05/2005 21:21

Are we talking first boyfriend or first Big Love?

Gwenick, I heard about that window-cleaning story...

sarahinphuket · 10/05/2005 05:18

My first love still lives where I used to live and has (I think) two or three kids with different people. According to Friends Reunited he is now a freelance chef. I did email him a few weeks ago just to say hi, but he didn't reply so he probably thinks I'm a bunny boiler! I have no feelings for him at all now, was just curious.

My first BIG BIG love died in 2000 in a climbing accident in Africa (I will never forget that day when his best mate called me at some crazy hour of the morning to tell me ). He was not only my first big love, but even after we split up he was still my best friend in the whole world - even though there was no 'us' anymore, we stayed best friends - is that weird? We both had other people at the time when he died. I now live on the other side of the world and am still in touch with his parents intermittently. I will always miss him and never forget him..........
