Would you think this odd?

If your partner sent a text to someone straight after leaving the house at 7am "saying I'm available to talk, can you call as early as possible"

it depends on who it was to - I'm assuming it's a woman? Then it would depend on what their relationship was. I think you need to tell us more.

I wouldn't because I think the message sound quite 'businesslike'. It depends on what work the person concerned does as well? For example, DH is an IT consultant and can be on the phone a lot to discuss issues etc. He has in the past taken calls while we are driving to somewhere and then asked them to call in an hour when he is done driving so in that sort of context, I think it can be perfectly innocent?

Doesn't sound especially odd to me.

If you wanted to talk to someone that early in the morning, it is likely you would text first to let them know you were available, as it is before normal business hours.

Don't know who it's to. Showing in phone contacts as initials only which is not typical for my partner. all other contacts have full name

Could the initials be the person's name e.g. a guy called John Paul but always known as JP?

I've put people in my mobile with their initials on the odd occassion when I've been in a real hurry. It doesn't sound like something you should worry about, but why are you checking his texts?

Still agree with it sounding business-like. As for initials, if I'd needed to quickly save a number I'd gotten, I would just put initials in. Either would figure I'd put the whole name in later (and would probably forget), or it might be someone I planned on deleting once I was done with whatever business I had with them.

Do you have other reasons to be suspicious of him?
