How do I put an end to this?

DS has just met a girl who he has been referring to as his girlfriend. His teachers have confirmed that they are hand holding and doing lots of kissing and cuddling. He is very enamoured with her and talks about her often.

What is the problem then? Well this little girl has very odd parents, they are always late to collect her, dressed scruffily (think tatty coats and sports wear ) and seem very disinterested in their DD. TBH I just don't think they are 'our sort of people' and I'd like DS to distance himself as it is an unsuitable match. I mean, when i was helping out at lunch a few weeks ago they sent her with no lunch and dashed in 10 minutes into the lunch hour with a bakery sausage roll. Luckily I always pack plenty of food for my DS and we were able to share some with her, but really. What lack of thought and supplying such a poor diet to this girl?

I'm concerned also that DS is going to loose interest in his studies as he seems so infactuated with this girl, (BTW her name is Chardonnay ) I want him to do well with his education and be a success in life. This girl with her lowly prospects could jeopardise this.

Does anyone have any tips to try and help me bring this relationship to a pain free and DS instigated close? In other words what can I say to put him off?

TIA.

BTW name change in case I'm recognised. I'm a very influential figure in my community.

I hope you are not being condescending about any mental health problems I suffer from. DS's nursery have been a god send in the flexibility they offer when I attend my appointments.
