Dating red flags, struggling with new partner

I've met a new lady and we get on so so well. I'm really falling for her. But there have been a few issues that I'm struggling with.

  1. When we met she didn't reveal to me the guy she was hanging around with was her ex boyfriend. Which pissed me off although I had figured it out.

  2. She's going through a messy divorce and has 2 kids that seem to dislike her.

  3. She's going to share a house with her ex husband as they alternate living with the kids which I think is a weird set up at best. The kids stay in the family home and the parents will kinda swap in and out weekly..

  4. She's got this guy she has as a friend they screwed a "long time ago" but still sees her from time to time..

I can't help but think this is all too much baggage. It's killing me softly already..am I being too sensitive?

I just called her and told her I think it's best we parted.

Kids who dislike their parent would be enough for me to stop seeing someone.

Maisymouse2 · Today 15:53

Are the kids teens? For the hate comment or upset the family have been separated
Sorry i disagree her friendship is excatly that and whatever happend in the past why would she be looking for a new partnee of nothing was sinister.
You can accept her...or probably control her, so move on.
Anyone in a previous relarionship with children are not baggage..they have lived experiences.
Move on. Simple.

She shagged them when she was married though.

It doesn’t say that? It says ex and a loving time ago.

Best outcome for you both. Hope she took it okay.

She seemed ok about it, not too much emotional response either way. Told me all I needed to know. Thanks so much.

do not get embroiled in this car crash of a divorce if in fact they are divorcing you can do a lot better

Right. I'm so disappointed with her, I'm sad about it as I'm falling for her and we get along crazy good. But her chaos is killing my calm and destroying my sleep. I just can't live with it.

that's your answer...this was a complicated relationship even before you came onto the scene. If it was meant to be, given time, it may have legs..But in the meantime move on for everyones sake

You’ve answered your own question there. Stick to your boundaries. You’ve placed them for a reason.

AutumnOakTree · Today 16:33

“Struggling with new partner”. That alone tells you this is going nowhere. You should be in the honeymoon period, not struggling.,

Thatoldchestnutagain · Today 16:36

this thread looks suspiciously like the new series Adultery..worth a watch for a modern take on a complicated love story with teens involved. Everyone gets hurt

You clearly don’t like the woman that you are dating, it’s oozes out of your OP.
My advice is break up and do both of you a favour in the long run.

LilacReader · Today 16:57

It's killing me softly already...whether she's a walking red flag or not, she's not the one for you is she?!

Bountyhunter888 · Today 17:09

If anyones a red flag its you

Oh wait!

You’ve just lost me on ‘I have have told her I won't accept that relationship. But not sure she's listening to me.’

You don’t get to dictate her relationships. You either accept it or you find someone else.

Exactly hes the red flag not his partner
