I’ve attached his latest messages - should she call the police - she’s been trying to leave him for months and has finally done it thankfully. He’s been emotionally manipulating her for a long time and we know can see he love bombed her at the beginning of the relationship. Should she just ignore?

Call the police, ask for a welfare check, send the screenshots to his family then block and delete.

@PurpleFlower1983 don’t have contact deets for any family and he’s estranged from some of them anyway. Need continued contact for now due to being in a tenancy together- logistics of ending tenancy and removing her furniture etc

That's not really a suicide threat. If it was me I'd just reply to say "I'm sorry you feel that way but I can't help so please don't contact me anymore. If you need support with your mental health call 111".
If he continues contact the police to report harassment.

while I agree that this bloke probably isn’t going to kill himself please be careful repeating the myth that people who threaten suicide normally don’t. They very often do (as my sister did exactly this). I know of many others too.

I just want to second this. People often do say they will do it, many even make attempts before the final ending of their life. It's dangerous to think that anyone who says it or has made previous attempts are not really at risk of suicide, they are at high risk of suicide.

From Samaritans website

https://www.samaritans.org/how-we-can-help/if-youre-worried-about-someone-else/how-support-someone-youre-worried-about/

They will make a third party call - see point 4

"You can also suggest they call us. We’re here to listen, no judgement, no pressure, no matter what they’re going through. They can call us for free on 116 123. Our lines are open 24/7, 365 days a year.
Or you can ask us to call them on their behalf. If we call and somebody else picks up, we won’t leave a message."

And also to agree with the earlier posts about myths about suicide

Not commenting on the specifics of this case .

My post is really about information from and about Samaritans if it might help anykne here

How to support someone you're worried about

What to do if you think someone you know isn't OK.

Edited

It is possible for them to make a third party call without the consent of the person being called - although, of course, it would be preferable to have their agreement
