Boyfriend bit me

Gorlami · 09/08/2026 17:35

I’m not sure how to handle this and I don’t know how I would even tell someone in real life because it’s embarrassing.

My BF bit me and it really hurts today and it’s starting to bruise and I’m scared that it might get worse. He didn’t attack me or anything like that and said that he got carried away, but I’m feeling vulnerable now that I am home again on my own because I can feel the pain. I was fine this morning when I was with him so I’m not sure why I feel like this now. I don’t even know why this upsets me so much but it does and I can’t explain it to myself or even to him?

This sounds very wrong. I would get out of this relationship. Did he bite in anger or was this sexual? (not very for you!)!

SalmonOnFinnCrisp · 09/08/2026 20:00

So multiple bites???

honestly dump this guy.
This is a huge red flag imo.

That’s some dripfeed.

That's extra context not a drip feed. A drip feed would be introducing completely new facts which changed the whole scenario.

Gorlami · 09/08/2026 20:12

Thank you all
I feel worse than before so will probably step away for now but I appreciate the help

Was this during sex?

YourWildAmberSloth · 09/08/2026 20:19

Purplerubberducky · 09/08/2026 18:02

It really isn’t. Anyone that bites during sex to cause pain and then doesn’t feel bad when the other person says it hurts and feels bad the next day is a nasty piece of work.

I think it is. 'My bf bit me during sex' is different to 'my boyfriend bit me because we were arguing or because I disagreed with him'. It doesn't make it okay, btw but it is different.

Besidemyselfwithworry · 09/08/2026 20:20

Gorlami · 09/08/2026 17:55

No, no broken skin at all. It’s just bruised.
Leg and breast area.
He did stop when I told him that it hurt. I think I’m hurt that he doesn’t seem to care that I am feeling pain today.
It was during sex but I don’t think that it matters much

This sounds horrendous! He’d be my ex!

gayestgal · 09/08/2026 20:21

Did he think you'd like it? If he has apologised and vowed to never do it again, I dont think you should worry too much, we all get things wrong

Paracetamol and a clear conversation about boundaries x

Victorius19 · 09/08/2026 20:24

That sounds horrible, OP, and you sound very rattled by it.

I don't think it's remotely normal. And I'd be worried that it could escalate further into a situation where he doesn't hear no.

NoisyMonster678 · 09/08/2026 20:29

What your BF did was wrong, it is a warning sign that he is a danger to women and this incident needs serious action.

  1. you need to leave him and end this r,/ship immediatly for your own safety.

  2. You need to contact police and report him, he is a danger to women and with his behaviour on record, the police can help protect other woment from this induvidual.

You leave him, report him and get him charged with donestic abuse. Its a massive red flag, act now and don't delay.

XiCi · 09/08/2026 20:34

BiteSizeByzantine · 09/08/2026 18:03

Hes testing you to see if you'll tolerate abuse. Leave him, there'll be more incidents. Dont waste time questioning yourself, thats a trap.

I agree. This is how it started with my friend and it escalated. The day she left him she was covered in bite marks - broken skin and bruises. He was also unrepentant, told her he preferred much younger girls as they didn't complain as much. Disgusting human being

Cherrysoup · 09/08/2026 20:34

That’s assault. Showing he’s not sorry/having no empathy=huge red flag.

VestibuleWeaver · 09/08/2026 20:49

Exactly.

Beyorre · 09/08/2026 22:01

VestibuleWeaver · 09/08/2026 20:49

Exactly.

I don't think it is different that he bit her during sex as opposed to during an argument.

To a porn addicted brain it might be different. Someone who thinks hurting your partner during sex is normal might not see a difference but being intimate with someone does not give consent to them hurting you.

If my husband bit me during an argument I would be horrified and leave. If my husband bit me during sex I would be horrified and leave.

I honestly see no difference. I don't care what HIS intent was behind it, anger, jealousy, power, control, sexual deviancy. The result to me is the same : shock, pain, betrayal.

It's not a DV victims job to figure out why her abuser does something and then try to frame it in a way that excuses it.

In fact I think its WORSE that he bit her during sex. That is when a woman is at her most vunerable and she is having sex with him because she trusts him.
At least if they were arguing and he was getting violent she could prepare to defend herself against it, I cannot imagine how upsetting it must have been to be enjoying sexual intimacy with someone she trusts and he bites her not once but twice!

NameChangeAgain48 · 09/08/2026 22:13

I think it's playing on your mind, and you are feeling vulnerable because you were vulnerable. You were at your most vulnerable. He hurt you on purpose for his own sexual gratification. He didn't nibble your ear. He bite you so hard he bruise your skin and caused pain. Not once but twice. Do you feel that you can be intimate and vulnerable again without fear of being bitten? I'd discuss it with him and be clear it's a deal breaker for me. I dont want to ge bitten. If he does anything but apologie id dump his arse.

outerspacepotato · 09/08/2026 22:52

Watch for signs of infection; redness, pain, swelling, pus, and did he bite by tendons or nerves? Those can be damaged from bites. Watch for extreme tenderness, difficulty in moving the joint or loss of sensation.

Think about getting these bites looked at by a doc, he's possibly done some physical damage. You might also be in shock because you were physically and painfully attacked. Is there anyone who can come and sit with you?

Don't see this guy again, he's dangerous and physically abusive.

26823Days · 09/08/2026 23:01

A dog would be put down for this.

LunaTheCat · 09/08/2026 23:22

This is a dangerous man and this is assault.
He most likely has a pattern of abuse
go to the police and report ask Claire’s law disclosure.
Do not let him into your home.

Silverfoxette · 09/08/2026 23:22

an ex of mine bit my breast, drew blood actually. When it came to breastfeeding the flow on that nipple was never right. I do think because of it.

murasaki · 09/08/2026 23:24

Send the photos back to him, saying you did this, it's over.

Sorry, the truth can be hard to face, I understand not wanting to read anymore but you should. You already know this behaviour isn't acceptable, nor is the lack of concern after. The comments just confirm it.

Please find yourself someone who doesn't hurt you and who cares about you. Bottom line. Please take care of you OP.

Sossijiz · 10/08/2026 01:55

I'd tell him to go have sex with a dog, since he apparently thinks he is one.

EBearhug · 10/08/2026 02:07

I had a boyfrwho was keen on biting during sex. To this day, I have no idea why, as it doesn'tseem a turn on to me. I was clear I did not like it, and he didn't do it again.

As a one-off in sex, I would let it go, unless he did it again after I said no. If it was not part of sex, I'd find that really weird and see it as a huge red flag.

Delilah26 · 10/08/2026 02:42

It upsets you because people don't bite, animals do.

MagnoliatheMagnificent · 10/08/2026 02:42

He needs to go. Are you willing to show us the photos?
