Ha, ha, I've only bought Smash Hits for a while back in the mid eighties, never been interested in womens magazines if just about fashion and make up and god awful "gossip".

Yes but the point is the magazines you are annoyed about are from years ago and had pictures in that were no worse than the paparazzi photos of celebrities in bikinis on beach or a fashion page of underwear advertising that the women's magazines had.
Ironically the "lads mags" have died out and are no longer published but the women's ones are still being published.
Also women weren't naked in the "lads mags".
I believe legally they couldn't be because then they would actually be classed as porn magazines and would have had restricted sales.

The majority of men will regularly watch porn or look at pictures of semi-naked/naked women online for a wank.

it seems strange to me that he’d go to the hassle of buying magazines and porn dvds on eBay instead of looking up online & accessing it for free. Or is it because you’d check his phone and he feels the need to do this as an alternative?

As a long-time slash fan I am happy to say my current calendar has pictures of some great looking guys wearing little to nothing and posing provocatively.

He's early 50s. I think he's having a bit of a mid life crisis. Oh well, boys will be boys 🙄

I'll have to get myself a hunks calendar next year, after all he's got Megan fox in his bedroom and Page someone, a so called golfer, at his work. I've got one of nice scenic pictures 🙄

When he bought about six copies two years ago he said it was because he had some when he was younger and got rid of them but later wished he hadn't. Some say "100 naked babes" on the cover so I fail to see how that can't be classed as nudity??? Sad that people are defending such grim behaviour really.

Yes there were some pics of women in underwear (not naked) but there was also football, cars, films, tv, actors, jokes....

I'm surprised so many here are defending him. That would be a huge ick for me - very possibly a deal breaker. My DH's buying of lads mags tailed off when we started seeing each other.

2. He was 30
3. He'd been single for some time

No way would he buy that shit now. He doesn't have an Instagram following half naked women of anything like that either.

I am sure they legally wouldn't have been completely naked pictures because it was a mainstream magazine not an "adult" magazine.

Seriously....you are making a huge fuss over a handful of old magazines yet you also mentioned he had bought porn DVDs.
Now that I personally wouldn't be happy about - not these magazines.
