Abusive man breaks girlfriend's neck

Teacher was left paralysed after boyfriend 'flew into a rage' and broke her neck, trial hears - LancsLive https://share.google/5352s57KEtbww895C

This horrified me. Some years ago my ex, who I was in a relationship with at the time, punched me in the face. When I retaliated he pushed me to the floor and bent my head over and sat on my neck. This could have been me.

I hope they give this pig a life sentence.

I was talking with a married couple who are very good friends of mine. He is probably the nicest man I've ever met. We are all in our 70s.

He commented that he just didn't understand some men. After talking round this, I said I thought it was up to men to challenge other men when they say/do misogynistic things.

He agreed. But said he had done that in the past and been ostracized and belittled for it.

Maybe there just aren t enough men strong enough to stand against the prevailing patriarchy.

So maybe the issue might be that most men are weak?

It's horrific. After ending a DA relationship and enduring a complex court case where he was acquitted, it's evident that our legal system isn't on our side. He's now pressuring me to return to court, demanding I pay him rent, and planning to sell the house I purchased. He also has a wealthy new girlfriend backing his legal actions. He constantly lies and refuses to support his children. Despite all this, I am grateful every day that he didn't kill me.
