Songs to be strong

PinkLady1979 · 07/08/2025 21:26

Have just walked away from a relationship that I needed to end, for my own well-being. My decision but I am determined to stick to it and I am going to need to keep very busy and strong. I know I am doing the right thing.

I am in real need of songs to give me strength. Ones that are of the “f*ck you” vibe or “your loss” theme. The ones I currently have on repeat are “Strong Enough” Cher, “Believe” Cher, “I will Survive” Gloria Gaynor.

I also need songs for me to have a good sob to as even though I am doing the right thing, I am so sad, I really loved him. So any break up songs to bawl to please too so I can get that out of my system and then move on. I have “who Knew” Pink and “it must have been love” Roxette and “out of reach” Gabrielle.

please give me inspiration.

Thanks 😢

Whitney Houston - I didn’t know my own strength.

BertieBotts · 07/08/2025 23:46

OK now here are some in the kickass strong/change is good genre:

Butterfly Boucher - Life is Short
Foo Fighters - Times Like These
Tom Rosenthal - Soon Soon
Green Day - Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)

Also just any songs which just make you want to throw everything away and dance. The Killers? I Gotta Feeling? All Star by Smash Mouth? Panic at the Disco? I went to look back at my memories playlist and the two I have for my breakup with my ex were Lady Gaga's Just Dance and Tik Tok by Kesha - they were in the charts at the time and I used to spend a lot of time in my kitchen with the radio on dancing to those two Grin
