Partner didn’t get me a Mother’s Day gift. AIBU

Last Mother’s Day, my partner didn’t get me a present. We talked about it today and I was explaining to him that this upset me. He didn’t get it. To give more context, we both have kids from previous relationships. He got his ex a card (from him, not the kids) but only sent me a WhatsApp message. He knows I wouldn’t get anything from my ex as we have no contact due to dv. Am I being unreasonable?

@Blondeshavemorefun we have a group chat and these are the sorts of things we talk about in the group chat. Sometimes we like to hear the opinions of others. We could all have our own but none of us saw the harm in using this for questions as we generally don’t use Mumsnet frequently. I can see how it can seem strange though.

Do you have children together? If you don’t I’m unsure why he’s expected to get you a gift?
