I don’t know why Michelle stayed away. I imagine it’s because she’s a strong-minded, intelligent woman with clear principles and she has no time for a corrupt, spiteful felon like Trump.
No one knows what the Obamas’ marriage is like. BO always seemed so respectful of Michelle, and very affectionate. Their talk of family life with their daughters was genuinely heartwarming. It would be sad if their marriage has broken down but these things can happen to anyone. I hope it’s just more of the usual gutter press bullshit.
