Tell other woman husband of affair

I don’t really have people around me that I can talk to about this so I’ve decided to try this. I’m still hurting and I can’t move on without a final step of closure.
My husband had an affair two years ago. It lasted for a year and a half and I was blindsided. Found out by chance by my car not matching his phone. Dealing with the gaslighting lying and pain whilst over months discovering that each detail was worse than the version sold to me before. We have three children. The pain caused by my husband is not the reason why I am writing. I am writing because in my learning of this… I read messages that stay with me because of the nasty character of husband but also the woman involved. Hurtful things they shared about me. Discussions about my body, pubic hair, our sex lives, my personal life, work, loss of my baby for example. Messages where she nastily encouraged my husband not to buy me a gift for my birthday (which he agreed with to her but did anyway) and I can’t undo what I’ve read in this catastrophic soul destroying dialogue over the years that I was caring for our young children unknowingly of this deceit. I thought we were happily married and think my husband is a psychopath. On the other woman- I can’t let it go that she had contact with my children and sent them gifts.- some of which I even thanked her for over the phone. The reason why I write this is because whereas I am navigating the storm that is my husband and know he is abusive. I have thought endlessly about how I can get closure and I feel that after so much ruminating…. I know… or at least feel that closure for me, as weird as this seems … please bare with… is that I need to tell the husband/partner of the woman of the affair. I want him to know what she was doing and that it was not just their affair but also the nasty steps taken to unnecessarily cause me (and no doubt him unnecessary humiliation and pain). I’m sure he is not aware. I have battled with this for over two years as my closure because too hurt for words but understand myself better now. Being unable to find a way for full peace. Sometimes the pain of what I read, thrives in me, it’s less now but it cuts deep to think (aside from the obvious with my husband) that a woman exists that attempted to dismantle my children’s lives purposefully, unkindly… pitching my husband against my daughter. I didnt really want to involve myself but I’m set that this is the way I can put this behind me finally- by shifting the messages and affair back to her - where they belong. I want to be truthful with him about the restaurants the coffee shops, the days out, the sexual talk, the degrading of me and him, the meet ups and the fact she became pregnant and had a termination. The reasons for this are- I cannot get over her involvement with my children (phone calls with my young daughter) and the nastiness she put into our lives. I believe it is one thing to have an affair with a man (obviously unacceptable his behavior- but I think it’s a whole different thing to be actively trying to destroy the wife, the children and that is unfortunately what I have read from the messages and contact I have seen - I think of the painful arguments we had where I felt he was being unfair to my daughter- now knowing how these were being spurred by her dialogue that he wasn’t being “tough enough”.. etc She even messaged my husband the week we lost our baby enquiring about my mental health and proposed meeting times in the delicate time after (which were agreed to). I can’t let go of the fact that such nasty people exist in this world and how much she involved herself in my life unbeknownst to me, . Even messages laughing at me and using code phrases to indicate that either I or her husband were around. I feel that for whatever deficiencies I have as a person, I need to throw all of this madness back into her life and, by doing so, out of my head.

is it okay for me to expose affair to her husband so he is better informed?

The bitch deserves it. Go to fucking town on her.

duc748 · 23/08/2024 00:46

Yeah, tell him, if you've got good documentary evidence. What he does is up to him; he may thank you, or curse you. But you don't have to worry about that.

The in car screen “mirrors” the mobile phone it is attached to so his call log was on the screen when he picked me up. The car had calls on it that were not the same as the ones on his phone meaning he was deleting calls on his phone before I got into the car. BUT, because the car hadn’t turned off or detached from his phone- they were still on the car. I questioned him from there the spiral unfolded…

how concrete is your intelligence ? enough for concrete analysis to share or more of hearsay analysis that can be denied etc ?

Opentooffers · 23/08/2024 01:02

You will get most closure by dumping his ass and getting a SHL to keep as much of your assets as possible. By all means inform her partner, especially if they don't have children - even so, that's on her.
Your H is a Prince, can't keep it in his pants, simple as that, but he's actually got you sympathising in the name of BS mental health reasons. If he's only happy when he's shagging someone else, he's no use to any woman. The suicide threat will be BS too. He's using every line to crawl out of the situation.
A prime example of apples not falling far from trees - look at the family behind the man to gauge their character.

Agree, destroy her life as she did yours. Then you will find your closure and able to move on.

Completely agree. But same can be said for her H.
Getting rid of him and making him pay would be my priority then I'd aim to destroy the life of the OW

CC222 · 23/08/2024 11:42

They've both caused you a lot of pain, but it's your husband that has betrayed you.
Rather than wasting energy on getting revenge on her, the best thing you could do for yourself is get rid of that narcissistic cheating prick, and heal.
How can you possibly move on from this pain while you're still with him...

Edingril · 23/08/2024 11:47

If this happened to me I would go on my way and not look back, I really can't see how telling anyone would genuinely make me feel better

Nothing to do with the cheaters me alone, I dont need to wallow in what others have done

Yes it is OK for you to expose her affair to let him know what sort of person she is.

Bit it is actually OK to do so out of anger/revenge/spite. People who have affairs get off on the risk. The flip side of that is having to accept that the risk might not pay off. We call those consequences.

In your position I would write him an email, with as much corroborating evidence as possible and cc: both her and your husband. Offer to meet him if he wishes.

I hope you are making steps towards leaving your husband. He is an atrocious cunt- but so is she. To borrow a phrase ‘they had it coming’

Horses7 · 23/08/2024 11:56

I would tell and give him the full details too - in fact I would want to cause her as much damage as possible.
Hope you moved on from your husband too, he doesn’t sound a keeper!

Blondiebeachbabe · 23/08/2024 11:56

I would have told him years ago. Why you are protecting her marriage is baffling to me. I'd go and see him in person with all the evidence that I had.

Shinyandnew1 · 23/08/2024 12:09

So you’re still with your husband (presumably not for too much longer)?

Is he still seeing this woman?

Is the woman still with the husband?

Thoroughthought · 24/08/2024 01:02

thank you - he left the job the day I found out about affair.
he has not been, as far as I am aware, in contact since, other than a few exchanges to end it.
no- not with woman.
still with me.

Firefly27 · 24/08/2024 01:18

How can you be with him still ?😳 it’s wildly baffling to me . Are you financially dependent on him ? Dump him and expose her .

Franjipanl8r · 24/08/2024 01:43

How can you even be in the same room as this disgusting vile man?! End it now and tell everyone about his infidelity, you have nothing to hide, you’ve done nothing wrong.

You seem fixated on the details of the messages but the big elephant in the room is the fact you haven’t filed for divorce and kicked him out by now!

CinnamonJellyBeans · 24/08/2024 01:47

You will never be able to "put this madness" back to her while your husband is still in your home. He is the living embodiment of his faithlessness. He invited her into your lives, they dissected you together and followed her instructions to be mean to and about your daughter.

They sound like a pair of sadists who bring out the true character of each other.

Why is this man sharing space with you and your children?

Get rid of him.

SunflowersMidwinter · 24/08/2024 01:50

My advice is to divorce your husband - I'm sorry but I don't think you'll be able to overcome that level of pain

CeruleanDive · 24/08/2024 03:26

You're focusing on completely the wrong person. Get some help to separate from your husband. Threatening suicide id hugely manipulate and relatively common in men like him. Couples counselling is contraindicated in abusive relationships and should never have happened.

Focus on yourself and getting a divorce from this vile, abusive man. Then you can start to find yourself again and create a new life.

Kosenrufugirl · 24/08/2024 03:38

What if the other husband is still unaware but they have children together. It would explode the children's lives. Lots of things to take into consideration

Kosenrufugirl · 24/08/2024 03:42

I just saw your latest update. Telling the other party will not bring your marriage back. I think you need to go for counselling and quite possibly separation rather than pursuing the other woman. For your own peace of mind. I am really sorry about the situation you found yourself in, this is terribly unfair

Newnamehiwhodis · 24/08/2024 03:42

I hope you can get free of him. The way you’ve been treated is horrific. He and the OW both sound actually evil.

before worrying about telling her husband, i just hope you can free yourself of the poison that your (stbx?) husband is still pouring into your life. He doesn’t deserve to be given any more consideration.

LoudSnoringDog · 24/08/2024 03:43

How are you still with your piece of shit husband???

Veryverycalmnow · 24/08/2024 04:23

You definitely need to leave him. He's abusive. Get support to leave him. Don't try and explode this woman's life until you're sure you're safely away from this horrendous relationship. Couldn't believe you're still with him!

BCBird · 24/08/2024 04:44

The biggest obstacle to closure is the waste of a space husband. Whilst uiu are with him u never really have control of your own life.

BCBird · 24/08/2024 04:47

Get your dignity back. I personally don't think I would tell the husband as I don't think it would help my 'recovery'
