For the people annoyed at the sprinkle sprinkle lady, isn’t the exact point that women should be treated better and for a long time men have not been expected to bring anything or much to the table.
you only need to look online, at comments sections on social media or on the relationships or even pregnancy and parenting boards here, in addition to the many many academic studies, to see that many men are no longer the breadwinners, or the only person working in their house but they also aren’t picking up parenting or childcare, and that men are actually becoming more misogynistic and right wing as time goes on. And that doesn’t even include the actually abusive ones. Or the wider systematic issues faced by women.

the influencer is countering with no, you should be treated better. My understanding was that she was joking and pointing fun and saying women should be as ‘greedy’ as men. the lack of seriousness if evidenced by ‘sprinkle sprinkle’ surely?

so the men ‘turning the tables’ or the pp here talking about men turning the tables and the double standard of women not to like it have missed the point. any annoyance from women is not a double standard, it’s a frustration because it’s boring to hear the same messages from men implying or outright saying that sexism doesn’t actually exist and they actually have it the same or even more difficult, and it’s annoying that they have gotten angry the second a handful of women on social media have flipped the script and asked to ‘have it all’ and be ‘greedy’ too.

God I am glad I am middle aged and married and will never have ro deal with this. Sprinke Sprinkle ? Drizzle Drizzle ? WTAF ?

How about a partnership of equals with mutual respect ? I think I can add boring to middle aged and married.

It's tragic, isn't it? I fear for the future full stop. Life was way better before social media. There was a short window when it had some uses, but now, it's just rubbish.
