Call Woman’s Aid. They will guide you through it all and help you out. You say it’s not all that easy but with the right help it is possible. Ultimately, you need to leave him and that’s the most important thing.

Private joint tenancy? Tell the landlord they should let you out of it no-one wants this sort of behaviour at their house

Sympathy, my ex once ripped our toddler out of my arms tearing my nail off my ripped nail lightly scratched his arm he went insane told me he would call the police on me for assault because he now had "proof" I was abusing him my other children said they would tell the police whst he did he tried saying they woukd never believe them but ultimately didn't call, note he is an EX

My STBXH used to frequently call ambulances and the police for no reason whatsoever. It was frightening as I was in his country and did not speak the langage as well as him. I also was so worried for DD.

He has since been arrested for domestic and financial abuse. He was trying to make out I was an alcoholic abusive person/mother.It did not work. As easily provable that I was no such thing.

People always jump to the alcohol being involved scenario.

I believe you OP. Leave.

This morning he will likely be remorseful, ask for forgiveness, it won't happen again etc.

Please have none of it

IncompleteSenten · 22/10/2023 09:33

Are you going to end the relationship or are you going to go away for a few days then come back and wait for this to happen again?

I know it's very far from easy but you do have choices.

They aren't easy choices but they exist

Streets23 · 22/10/2023 09:34

It was earlier it happened, I posted on here later on

You know it will be logged as domestic abuse and you are the perpetrator. If you have kids with him this could have serious consequences for you in the future if he’s that manipulative. I would call the police today to log the manipulation so that there is a separate log with you being the victim.

This. And please do call Woman’s Aid ASAP, they will give you the best advice on how to go about things step by step. This is their purpose.

So would I

Streets23 · 22/10/2023 09:56

I have children but not with him. His ex wife did try to warn me, but of course I didn't listen.

What a waste of time, yours and the police.

get yourself and your children out of this toxic situation.

KTSl1964 · 22/10/2023 10:06

You need to end this relationship

Watchkeys · 22/10/2023 10:08

Do you want to leave, OP? I think that's the first question. Because if you do, the advice is very different from the advice you need if you don't.

INeedAnotherName · 22/10/2023 10:10

Contact Women's Aid for help and advice. Do it today.

This is actually a common abuse tactic. Probably shows up on MRA forums. He’s trying to have you taken to the police station as ‘punishment’. In a he / she said situation it’s tricky. Luckily you had semi sensible police showing up. That won’t always happen. Like everyone else is saying, leave quickly.

PaterPower · 22/10/2023 10:23

His “manhood” is pretty thin if you saying no to (anything at all) strips him of it.

Bananalanacake · 22/10/2023 10:28

And what do your Dc think about living with this man, do they like him?
