How long were you on OLD before you met your match?

Hi everyone,

After recently breaking up with my partner of 3 years, I’m back on an online dating app. I find that I get frustrated within 24 hours because I don’t find anyone that meets the criteria (1) attractive but doesn’t seem to love themselves, (2) friendly but not too clubbing and drinking-orientated, (3) open-minded, and (4) not immediately too weird/sexual (“you would like my physical touch 👀”)

How long were you on OLD before you met a good match?

This year, fairly new site, 3 months.

Previous years, different sites 2-3 months each time.

Joined Bumble in January. Get a lot of matches but hardly anyone replies to messages.
Had two dates - one wanted to meet again but I didn’t feel it. The other both said no spark.
I just seem to attract men who want casual sex and that’s not what I’m looking for

So far, it’s been a waste of time

And several months on it’s still a waste of time.

Had another couple of dreadful dates - one turned uk looking like he’d just got out of bed and the other was a good 4-5 inches shorter than his profile said he was

Then I met a really nice man that I fancied and we clicked. First date lasted 6 hours and then the second the following weekend lasted even longer. He invited me to stay at his the next weekend and then decided to drop a bombshell by telling me an absolute deal breaker that he should have told me at start.

Since then it’s been tumbleweed

Ugh, I’m sorry, I hope your luck changes soon!

I can do you one better, I had one who turned up looking like he just rolled out of bed, then later said oh i might nip over to that barber to get a shave (apparently he couldn’t figure out how to procure shaving supplies while travelling even though he was staying in a decent hotel so they would have had them at the front desk). I said okay because I wanted him to shave, he was gone for like an hour and not answering his phone because he decided to wait, get a HAIRCUT as well, and he just got his beard trimmed not shaved all off which was why I approved the idea in the first place! The only reason I didn’t just leave was because I didn’t want to pay for his meal (he had left me at a restaurant after we both ordered).

🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️
