Why would a male coworker keep looking at me?

He's (42m) my (25f) bosses boss, we do talk sometimes but not alot as he's quite senior.

I've been paying attention to his behaviour the past couple of weeks as I grew suspicious.

When he's talking to my boss across the room he'll position his body in my direction. He'll walk past my desk when he doesn't need to. There's a big window at the end of a corridor which is right infront of my desk and he'll always look through at me when he walks past. He'll look through the office doorway when he walks past. He'll look at me when I walk into his office and when he walks into mine (they're open plan offices with 10 people in each) and he'll always look at me in meetings.

He will do all the above even if it means turning his body and head in the opposite direction, like looking back.

Why does he keep looking at me constantly? Is he seeing if I mess up so he can fire me?

Why are people writing OPs as though MN is Reddit? Do they just cut and paste across lots of different forums?

He fancies you IMO. Nothing to do with your job or how you're performing

The faux naïveté is strong here

Bingo, I can imagine OP typing this looking up through her eyelashes in that very famous Princess Diana pose.
It reads like a rom com, the female lead has no idea he fancies her and 'genuinely' thinks he wants to fire her until they get together and live happily ever after🙄

C'mon @dell873, did you marry him or what? Or did it turn out that you just reminded him of his Aunty Doreen's eldest daughter or something?

If he's creeping you out, report him to your boss or HR.

If you're hoping he might fancy you, be very careful. You say he's quite shy but if he's openly leering at you then obviously he isn't at all shy, and has likely done this before, possibly with every young woman who's passed through the office. And of course he's married. If any part of you is secretly flattered and hopeful, give yourself a strong talking-to as this can only end with hurt and a heap of mess (more likely for you than him).
