He's texting but not asking me out

Met a guy on Bumble. Asked him out. We met up and had a great date! There was some kissing (but that's all). It's been 2 weeks since and he's been in touch regularly but no sign of a second date. And before everyone says just ask him out, it's 2023 etc etc, I asked him out the first time! What's the point of messaging if he's not going to make plans to see me again?

Thanks @Discontinued. It's always been him initiating conversations - he hasn't left me hanging! (well apart from not asking me out!). It's disappointing but you can't take anything personally when it comes to OLD! Who knows what his deal is.

I'd say he's doing a great job of keeping you around in case things don't progress with his preferred date(s).

I will admit I've done this when I start losing interest. It usually means I'm interested enough to chit chat but I don't care enough to move things forward.

So? What now?
