From 0-10?

Odd question I know but it was on an initial form for couples therapy and I just wondered what actually is "normal".

10, without hesitation. We have our ups and downs like everyone but we are so together and he really is amazing

CosmopolitanPlease · 02/11/2022 18:06

10/10, would recommend. A++++

90ssalamander · 02/11/2022 18:07

I’ll add some balance and say 5 maybe 6 at a push / 10

DottyLittleRainbow · 02/11/2022 18:09

A genuine 10/10

9.5 /10 - been married for over 30 yrs , still love each other - he loses the 0.5 because he has an awful family

🤣🤣🤣that’s not HIS fault!!

Id say 8/10. Love him and still fancy him loads after 20 years. But he can be v annoying sometimes and drives me mad (as I’m sure I do to him)

Girlintheframe · 02/11/2022 18:15

A solid 9.5/10 even after 20 hrs together

Girlintheframe · 02/11/2022 18:15

Years not hours!

Purplehonesty2 · 02/11/2022 18:19

It's a definite 10/10 for me - we are super happy. Married a year, together for two.

My last marriage was a 2/10 so I was due a good 'un!

Reading this is funny because its like people posting amazon reviews of their husbands

Grin It is funny! Interesting though. So would you say 7 is a strong marriage or with issues?

A bit like the UK shipping forecast

Marriage veering 4 or 5, occasionally 9 later. Occasional arguments. Moderate or good, occasionally poor."

needastrongoneagain · 02/11/2022 17:54

10/10, even though he's been in hospital for the last 6 months after a severe stroke. Still love him beyond measure, even if the future is very different now at aged 50.

Sorry to hear this...Puts things in perspective somewhat

Hmmm. I don't think a singular number is possible for me.

Our communication and intimacy, 6-7/10.

Our trust and support of each other 10/10.

Our friendship, 8/10.

We're a solid couple, been together our whole adult lives. But we have young kids and that affects our relationship.

No relationship is perfect. I know my siblings would rate theirs less but they're still together and relatively happy.

Some may rate it as 10/10 now but in a years time could be worse. I guess I'm just saying, take others experience with a pinch of salt and remember that no one gets everything from one person (unless their needs are very low!)

ScrambledOrPoached · 02/11/2022 18:31

9.5, because there’s always room for improvement. But we are very happy and good at talking about anything that is affecting our relationship.

a 7 is decent. A few issues that are probably minor annoyances rather than serious? Does that sound right?

Pinpot · 02/11/2022 18:46
  1. I love him and I like him so so much.
Brainks · 02/11/2022 18:53

5/10- drifted into friend zone over the years so no intimacy now. We get on ok though.

happiertimes123 · 02/11/2022 19:09

7 because we've just bought a house we need to renovate whilst working full time and taking care of two dogs with major anxiety - and oooft that puts a strain on things! Usually a 9-10 though.

Icantthinkwhat · 02/11/2022 19:21

Hmm so tricky to evaluate..
friendship 10/10
Sex 0/10 (ED)
Intimacy (10/10)
Suppprt 10/10

Ed is a very tricky thing . However it is not the be all end all of a relationship.. Would I like the amazing sex life we had when we got together? You bet I would ..Do I leave because it's no longer on the agenda due to health issues ... absolutely not. I love him. End of..

ListenLinda · 02/11/2022 19:23

10 most of the time. 9 when he leaves it too long to sort his floordrobe out.

Icanflyhigh · 02/11/2022 19:27

10/10 would marry him again tomorrow and every day!

Bookaholic73 · 02/11/2022 19:28

Honestly, 0.
Only married a few years and already wish I hadn’t married him. The second he put that ring on my finger, he changed.

ohforthelife · 02/11/2022 19:55
  1. Get along ok, some common interests. Very little intimacy.
EdieLedwell · 03/11/2022 17:00

9/10

He loses a point for constantly putting his foot in it. He says whatever he thinks and it often causes upsets.

He's working on this though.

MushMonster · 03/11/2022 17:04

10! He is definitively the right one for me, we are very happy together and I love him with all my heart.

Chickpea17 · 03/11/2022 17:19

8 nothing or no one is perfect but we're happy but obviously I can't speak fir my husband so not sure what he would rate us.
