DH got a new motorcycle in the last few months, last Sunday he went out at 7am didn't tell me where he was going or what time and didn't get back until 2pm I was out of my mind thinking he crashed. This morning he's got up at 4.30am and gone out on a motorcycle ride said he would text me to tell me he was safe later on. Who gets up on at 4.30 to go on a motorcycle ride ??!!

The roads are empty, this time of year the air is cool and clean. Dawn is the Perfect time for a bike ride while few traffic police are looking.

Unless you have any reason to think he has another woman, he's probably just enjoying the open road.

Where does he go - coast? Mountains? Ask to go with him.

This. Absolutely amazing time of day. The dawn will just be breaking.

Pre children this is would be the perfect day with OH. Easily spend 10-12 hours out on a ride. Stopping at a few cafes, having an ice cream etc. We are near to Wales and it's fantastic.

Dam I miss my bike 😕

DP and my dad are both lifelong motorbike riders.
They both agree that Sunday's are the worst because you get Sunday riders, people that are crap, infrequent or inexperienced riders who only ride on Sundays when it’s nice weather.

my dad refuses point blank to go out at all on a Sunday because of Sunday riders, he says they are a liability to other bikers, I don’t know how true it is but he has always said there are more bike accidents on a Sunday because of them.

DP does ride on a Sunday but like your DH will go out early to avoid the Sunday riders.
So I think what your DH is doing seems perfectly normal.
DP rarely tells me where he is going because he rarely know, he just goes out and picks nice looking roads or quiet roads and turns off roads if they are busy. He sometimes checks in if he stops for a break but sometimes he will ride for hours without stopping for a break.

He should leave you a message and an ETA so you know he's safe and you can decide what to do with your day. Bit selfish otherwise.
