I went to see a Medium/Clairvoyant

Long story short - I went with my mum. She had always wanted a reading and wouldn’t have one without me. So I thought f*ck it.

The lady was fairly spot on with some things, but she then proceeded to tell me that I would get divorced, have a separation, can’t have anymore kids, that I should also be checking my partners phone as ‘there’s something he’s not telling me’ and that he lies to me

I am overly paranoid now. Like everything he says or does I think ‘could he be cheating’

This is driving me mad!!!

I actually thought they weren’t supposed to give you bad news! For this reason probably. She was crap. Maybe jealous of the little bits you did tell her!

Hi,
Happy Monday everyone 🙂My friend and I are looking for a clairvoyant in the Merseyside area who doesn't charge too much and doesn't have a big flashy website. More recommended by word of mouth, can anyone recommend one please? Thanks in advance x

Everyone on here thinks it's a load of horse manure so I doubt you'll get recommendations.

Hi,
Thanks for your message. We were looking for either really. May check out the local spiritualist church, it's hard finding someone genuine. Thanks for the advice🙂

These charlatans make me so cross.

These charlatans make me so cross.

Me too. They prey off grief-stricken, vulnerable people. I’ve got no time for them.

I went to see Derren Brown live who did a psychic act to prove cold reading

He predicted all sorts on the basis of subtle clues, demographics and chance

It was scary

Peoples intuition can be astonishingly accurate too

What do you mean by genuine? There are no genuine psychics or clairvoyants, they are all making stuff up. Some might be deliberately making stuff up, and some genuinely believe they are channelling something, but fundamentally they are all making stuff up, or at best making educated guesses based on things they've gleaned from you.

This may sound harmless, but as the OP demonstrates, the risk is that what they say can mess you up. Don't live your life based on the "feelings" of people who don't know you.

Long time ago there is a medium tell me the same. She told me i’m going to get divorced on my 3rd year of our marriage. My marriage gonna be hell.

now its my 10 years marriage soon. No cheating. I’m happy. My husband is perfect for me and i have a perfect marriage i dare say. I really hate that medium because i waste 3 years of my marriage to be so scared and worried all the time.

LibbyL92 · 06/09/2022 22:31

We went to a reading once.

and she brought through my nans best friend.
used her name (we didn’t tell her) she told us her death wasn’t an accident but a suicide.

we were gobsmacked!

A friend years ago said a well known so called medium (Liverpudlian I think) was caught asking back stage if his performance had been "believable" enough, this was back in early 2000s. My partner also had a different one as a customer and he admitted he was stringing people along and really he was not hurting anyone and just giving them reassurance (plus it paid the mortgage). Apparently he was a good cold reader. I will never ever pay money to see a "psychic". Absolute bollocks it is.

@K10 I've been to open circle tonight. Some amazing spot on messages. No money made just £1 each to cover overheads. Doesn't even cover that tbh lady who runs it subsidises. Anyway that's a good way to get the feel of a church.
