Husband Moved On

Hi

My husband and I separated in December and are nearly through the divorce. We had both been unhappy for a couple of years but he said he wanted to make it work but too much had happened for me to see past it.

After we agreed to separate he has been telling everyone how devastated he is and how he has to buy things to cheer himself up.

A friend of mine then spotted him out on a date who he met on Tinder and when I asked him about it he had been chatting to her for 3 weeks and met her 3 times that first week and reguarly since.

I am fine with him moving on and totally accept that but what I don't understand is why he kept saying 'this isn't what I want, I can't believe you're doing this etc' and in a matter of 3-4 weeks joining Tinder, subscribing and meeting someone.

Do men who are supposedly broken move on that fast or might he have just been telling people that when he wasn't that upset.

Interested in thoughts.

Thanks

Men in my opinion move on faster than women
Maybe not emotionally
But practically and sexually

They take the ‘under one to get over one’ very literally
And I think men want to get sex regardless of the emotions

Yes men do this, my friend and her husband split, he’s still in love with her and gutted, but he’s on tinder and match meeting women and dating becayse he doesn’t want to be alone and because he wants sex.

The fact he’s gutted doesn’t mean he Would rather be alone.

OP. I think it's just the way some people work. For me, is want to he alone for a while and enjoy being single again. Id sulk, find myself again, take up some new hobbies and go on a health kick before i could date somebody new

Many people cannot bear to be single and will always move on quickly . I expect your ex hasnt spent much of his adult life alone

If DP and i ever break up, he will be back on Tinder within a couple of months. I just know

From a mans perspective I don't think it's a man thing at all, it's down to the specific person male or female. I personally took 18 months after the break up of my marriage, my EX left because she already had someone else lined up.

I wanted to make sure I was in a good place emotionally before I committed myself to someone else, I wanted to make sure I had everything setup for myself (house etc) as well.
